Been trying as many pizza spots as I can in JP before I move. Stopped in for a quick lunch special.
I got the 2 slice and a can special while my wife got a slice as well. It came out to about $13 which is a bit expensive compared to other pizza spots around the area.
However, when the slices were served it made more sense. They were in fact, large slices. The crust was thin, struggling to handle the amount of cheese on the slices, but I was ready to tackle that challenge.
In the end it was good, not top tier in JP, but the size of the slices and the amount of space there is inside the restaurant in case you want to sit and enjoy whatever meal you order made me enjoy the experience more.

I was in the area and I love checking out Ma and Pops pizza places, and I was hungry for some lunch. I saw they had a deal of 2 Cheese Pizza slices and a soda for $8.50, this sounded like an amazing deal. When I received the slices and drinks, both slices were massive and tasted amazing, such a good deal. The atmosphere was fantastic and the owner was extremely kind. I enjoyed a great lunch and watched some three stooges. Highly recommend.

Apparently this is a Sicilian pizza priced at $10 more than a normal cheese pizza? ($25) It looks like they took a normal pizza, shaped it into a square, cut it into massive square slices and called it a Sicilian pizza. It’s slopped together falling apart making it incredibly difficult to eat. I am not sure how everything else tastes on the menu but by the standards, quality, and price of this pizza I would not recommend going here at all. On par with Dominoes.

It’s all about the pizza. I honestly never even looked past the pizza. Fantastic crust. Thin yet crunchy underneath, end crust like a great piece of bakery bread. Toppings are quality and perfect quantity. As an out of towner, this isn’t my regular stop, but delivering on its name the place hasn’t changed at all in my 25 years of visits. When you love it the first time you’ll love it forever.

Ordered chicken tenders, a salad, fries, and a pizza and it took almost two hours to be delivered even though the restaurant was ten minutes from our location…then there was no pizza. We were refunded for the pizza but still—sucks! ☹️ we’re a big group of people going to a show still hungry

It was pretty generic pizza – nothing to rave about nothing to complain about.
It honestly felt slightly undercooked and a little sweet to me – I tend to like more crispy slices. But like I said, it was pizza. Nothing to rave about nothing to complain about.

We tried the Greek pizza and the Macho pizza. Both were delicious and big enough to serve a crowd! The staff were helpful and we would definitely eat here again!

I have fond memories of going here and picking pies up with my old man when he lived just down the road. Twenty years later and the recipe and quality haven’t changed, which I am pleased to see. I would agree with other reviewers that it’s on the pricey side, $10 for two slices and a can of soda. However, JP is a trendy neighborhood and all spots on centre street demand high prices. Having to sub elementary school dance down the road to make ends meet and with my life crumbling all around me, I was more than happy to forfeit ten dollars for a slice of nostalgia, or two.

First time customer as of 12/1/18. Ordered a small ‘The Rancher’ pizza. Chopped tomatoes, bacon, chopped crispy chicken tenders and ranch dressing (and I added extra cheese). My brother ordered a large half cheese, half pepperoni. $17.00. Mine was obviously a splurge. We were both fans. Mine looked and smelled really good. Tasted good too. My brother and I laughed because the little pizza box was so much heavier than his large pizza, which also created a heavy pizza box, but not as heavy as mine. Leftovers for sure for me, so I happily turned it into two dinners. Pictured attached is ‘The Rancher’ pizza from Same Old Place. Oh, and we parked right in front around 8:30 pm on a Saturday night. So that was convenient/nice too in J.P.!
