My favorite Sam woo for wonton noodle!!!each Sam woo is different.. came here for the first time for their breakfast special. I love my Cantonese special with seafood porridge then came with the appetizer.. just the right amount and with a cup of Hong Kong milk tea. Good until 1:30 pm . Food is so expensive now so this is a good choice. My wife took the western special.. chicken steak with black sauce is good as well..

What happened between the pandemic, and when they finally re-opened the dining-in area? Last time I was here, and got the 雙拼盤 with the 燒肉 & 燒鴨. The 燒鴨 was OK, but what was up with the unevenly cut 燒肉? Chop it uniformly! Either big enough for you to enjoy that giant slab of pork belly, or thin enough for me to enjoy the crispiness of that skin! But no, the pieces were all diagonal, and all over the place, AND some of the skin on it wasn’t all that crispy. 燒臘 is what you guys are supposed to specialize in!
Aside from that, just make sure you’re not going there around 5pm, and sitting by the window, when their suppliers are dropping in a delivery straight from the street, with the product hanging from the car, and the guy having trouble trying to put the hook on the item to bring it in. Almost makes you think about going vegetarian as you’re contrasting how it was brought in to what’s on your plate.

As a Hong Konger, the Chu Su 叉燒and the BbQ 燒肉here is terrible. Too dry and taste not right. You can see the meet is way too thinly cut and very dry inside.

The 魚肚羹 is also wrongly made. The served with crab meet but we want it with corn soap. Anyway, it is tasteless like water. Don’t order it here.

Overall it is disappointing and no wonder the dine in here is not full.

This place is CLEAN. Servers are very attentive.

I’ve never thought chinese food could be very expensive. I ordered 2 delicacy bbq pork with pork belly and it is $20 for a small plate. The chow mein noodles are ok but on the salty side.

I remember when on a tight budget that Sam Woo used to be my go to place but not anymore.

There are no cheap budget chinese place anymore here due to inflation. when we let our evil governor and government dictate, this happen and it will still get worse.

The food was average. Their barbeque meats weren’t as good as other Sam Woo (i think). Ordered porridge and walnut mayonnaise shrimp; the walnuts were soggy.

Sam Woos is a franchise restaurant so the same dishes sometimes vary in flavor dependant on location.

This was the first time I visited this location. The service was good and the sweet and sour chicken delicious as was the beef chow mein.

We also ordered barbecue pork ribs but because they were in short supply, they added barbecue pork to the order. The barbecue pork or tsa tsu was far better in flavor than the ribs which were dry and not properly marinated.

Overall, the food was good though I will never order barbecue ribs again.

Special ordered a whole roast pig. Meat was tasty but dry. Skin was great, very crispy and stayed on the meat. Not as big as last time we ordered a few years ago.
