During a recent visit to Southport,I decided to give Sam Thai a try. I haven’t been to this eatery before, however the reviews were good.
Upon arrival the young lady waiter was really friendly and welcoming. She directed us to a table.
Regarding the food, we had a Thai green curry which was really tasty, and 2 starters ,spare ribs and fish cakes and spring rolls. All the food was tasty and freshly cooked .I was very satisfied with the meals we ate, and it was the fixed lunch menu which is £15.95 which is good value. I felt full after eating all the food. I’d recommend this restaurant if you like Thai food and are in southport. I’d definitely go again

Lovely welcome from the waitress she asked the chef to make mine a bit less spicy and it was perfect I didn’t want it to end.

Tuck and her team gave up great customer service. The food is delicious but the portions are small. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. Great service and a great place for family and friends. The prices are acceptable and accommodate any needs! Very clean and relaxing. This is my second time here and with every experience I am pleasantly surprised. I will be trying some other Thai restaurants in my future visits to South Port but for now I always enjoy Sam’s kitchen and his team’s service. Thank you so much once again!

We recently visited one of the most authentic Thai restaurants around, and it was fantastic. The service was very quick, the staff were friendly, and the food was genuinely authentic Thai cuisine. The fish cakes were the proper Asian type, not the usual British ones. The tom yum was full of flavor, and both the pad thai and the cashew chicken were excellent.The portions were amazing. We had the lunch set, which included two starters and a main for only £15/ £16 per person. The portions were very generous, even for us, and we can eat a lot! It’s definitely worth your money, the food is authentic, and it’s worth trying and coming back to.

There were no customers when we entered, and I was a little unsure whether it will be a good stop considering how quiet it was. It got busier later. The lovely lady ( assume, the owner) brought an extra electric heater to make it cosier as it was a bit chilly inside. We were served by a young gentleman who was very polite and attentive. I thoroughly enjoyed my food. Surprisingly , wine was very nice as well !

Went this evening for a birthday treat. We had Thai fishcakes and pork dumplings to start then main was weeping tiger and goong pao/giant king prawns with thia curry sauce. It was delicious. I can’t praise it enough. Both the food, atmosphere and friendly service was fabulous.
Can’t believe we’ve never tried this place before.

My good lady is a long time Thai food aficionado and we have tried most Thai restaurants in the area and Sam Thai is by far our favourite.
Firstly the owner and husband are lovely and went the extra mile to make us feel so welcome.
The young ladies serving are smashing and obviously experienced in Thai food so if you need any recommendations from the menu, just ask.
You will need help as the food on offer is extensive (not expensive!). Some dishes on the menu we have never tried but we certainly will. The standard of food was tops, the best green curry we have ever tasted. From starters to a lovely free dessert the owner made for my wife’s birthday it was so delicious, I can’t wait to return and try something else on the extensive menu. I will also add the set lunch menu looks excellent and we look forward to trying it when visiting the Atkinson theatre nearby.

Such an amazing authentic Thai restaurant in the heart of Southport! We ordered the Tom kha soup and Yam Woon Sen to share as appetizers and for our mains the spicy pork belly, drunken noodles and panang curry! All of them were delicious and sooo flavourful and tasty. My favourite was the Panaeng Curry with the sticky rice, it was amazing. One of the best meals I’ve had on my vacation! I’d definitely return to this restaurant for the Panaeng alone! Our servers were so attentive and professional.
