Slammin Sammy’s bar experience was nice tonight. Especially due to the server. Marcos Alas was wonderful. Personable and attentive. Salmon was excellent. Rest was OK. But service made the evening more enjoyable. The plate that’s empty in the photos was the salmon.

Fried chicken was a bit overpriced for three pieces of fried chicken for 42 dollars, but it was still decent. However, the wings at this restaurant were spectacular and came with a great deal. The burger’s beef may have been a bit dry, but certainly made up for the dryness with toppings. I liked my meal here, if you go, I’d avoid the fried chicken, but definitely get the wings. Staff was polite and atmosphere gave the area a distinguished feel.

Overpriced and mediocre at best. The burgers are either pre-formed or previously frozen, so I’d advise against ordering anything less than medium. The center of mine was cold. The chips are bland and portions are small for the cost. Your money can be better spent elsewhere.

Spending life along the eastern seaboard, I know how scallops should taste, and this ain’t it. With scallops, it’s paramount that they not be over cooked. They should be tender and still a bit blubbery. Mine were firm and the dry texture of chicken. They’re the worst scallops I’ve ever had, and with a $55 price tag, that’s unacceptable. We did, however, have a kind and attentive server, and we enjoyed the pork cheek appetizer, so I’m bumping my 1 star to 2.

We always enjoy Slammin Sammy’s for lunch when staying at The Greenbrier. Food and service are always good. Beautiful views of the golf course. Can be busy on a beautiful golf day.

Food was excellent and delicious. We had wings and pizza. I am not a pizza fan…this was very good. I really enjoyed the sauce and crust. We like our wings crispier. But they were very good also. Our waiter Jesse was very nice and attentive.

I don’t know why everyone one here complains about the price of everything. I mean, you are at the Greenbrier, and everything has a little extra on it. With that being said…
The food was absolutely amazing. My wife had the Filet Mignon, and it was melt in your mouth good. She had me try a piece of hers, and I knew immediately that I had picked the wrong plate of food. Lol. My Lamb was very good and was melt in your mouth as well… it wasn’t close to the Filet, though.
The dessert was over the top good. The chocolate cake with a scoop of ice cream on it with the caramel sauce drizzled over it… man, I have never had a better piece of cake and ice cream before.
Needless to say, I was very happy with the food and the wait staff was on pair too. The overall experience was top-notch, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

The BEST restaurant at The Greenbrier! Such a fun and inviting atmosphere as golfers and resort stayers gather together. I ordered the Prosciutto Pizza and it was to die for! If you love balsamic vinegar, run, don’t walk, for this meal. I ordered a glass of Prosecco with it for a sparkling wine taste with the pizza, and it was the perfect combination. Two meal can eat this pizza definitely, or no shame to snack on it solo! I’ll be coming back for this meal!

NY Strip was slightly over cooked but decent. Baked potato was dry and definitely not “loaded” – a tiny dollop of sour cream and few sprinkles of cheese and bacon. Atmosphere and service were great but given price, this one is not worth a visit.

Food was ok but over priced. After spending over $100 per person, we were left unsatisfied with our experience. Portions were small. Orders were mistaken. Sent 3 main orders (of 6) back for over cooking. Appetizers were wrong. Lobster Mac and cheese ($27) is not a sharable side and contains very little lobster.
