⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cute little stop right off the highway! ✨
Stopped into Sam Kennedy’s and loved the cozy, welcoming vibe right away. The food was really good — and let me just say… the broccoli cheese bites were AMAZING (seriously, don’t skip those!). The fries made me smile because the portion felt a little short haha — but they were still tasty!
Service was a bit slow, but they were clearly busy, and our server stayed kind, attentive, and did a great job keeping everything together. I always appreciate great attitudes even when things get hectic
Overall, such a cute place with good food and a fun atmosphere — definitely a great stop when you’re traveling through. We’ll be back!

I was taken here for a birthday dinner. I was so pleased! The food was great as was the service! I lived in Louisiana for 7 years but this was the best shrimp and grits I ever tasted. The pancetta and scallop appetizer was delicious and I tried to identify the ingredients in the sauce, yum. Then, since it was my birthday, I ordered key lime pie. No imitation, unreal good.
A new customer, a new fan. Good job!

Friendly service and nice vibes for a date night. Although the food had good flavors; the mini crab cakes were bland, the herbed rice was undercooked, and the chicken breast was overcooked. The tiramisu and cheesecake were delicious.

I was hosting out of town guest. I wanted to treat them to a local meal at an establishment that wasn’t a chain. My goal was to show off my city. Sam Kendall’s did not disappoint. The aesthetics were warming and welcoming. The staff was attentive and accommodating. Our food was amazing. My guest had the shrimp and salmon. I had the grilled chicken with alfredo pasta. My friends absolutely loved it. I really like the menu as well. I know they will recommend this restaurant to friends and family. Thank you.

Came here back in September 2025 for a birthday celebration with a group of my SC girls. The server was great, he put up with alot of questions from our group. The food was great, the dessert was great. I had the SK burger and the apple cider mimosa. Not a fan of the drink but the burger was on point. We also visited the shops and a small museum nearby. Thanks for the great service!

Sam Kendall’s in downtown Camden is a charming restaurant with an inviting, rustic atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The decor, with its old-world charm, adds to the overall dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious—each dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. On top of that, the service was quick and attentive, ensuring that we never had to wait long. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend others to stop by and enjoy the great food and warm ambiance Sam Kendall’s has to offer!

All I can say is “Wow!!” Sam Kendall’s owes us nothing! They accommodated our party of 30+ guests with professionalism, care, and patience. Our 3 servers were amazing and very accommodating. Sam, the manager, was very understanding and made sure that our first experience there was one to remember! Not only was the staff awesome, the food was AMAZING! Not one single complaint from any of us (everything had so much flavor)! The atmosphere was just right (intimate) to host my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. Thank you for an amazing night!

I had high hopes looking at the pictures of everyone’s food and the menu. The inside atmosphere and decor is beautiful, we came on a busy weekend night so we ate outside to avoid a wait. The flies were our biggest enemy – I think it’s necessary to have outdoor fans in the warm months if you want guests to enjoy eating outdoors. The entrees were good but our vegetable sides lacked seasoning, which of course can be added with salt or pepper but they were pretty bland all around. I’d say this is still probably one of the nicer places to eat out in Camden!

This was our first place to eat at when we first came to SC when I had inherited my dad’s house a few years ago. What got us was the salad that has pecans on it and the dressing was outstanding. It is for me my favorite place and the pricing is good for what you get.

Anniversary dinner and our first time here, we will be back. Back parking is there and an entrance exist but you still have to walk to the front inside to get seated, so might as well enjoy the walk around outside. Seating was quick and service was great. Highly recommend.
