Salvatore’s Tomato Pies is the kind of spot you look forward to coming back to. Outstanding pizza in a great environment that makes the whole experience memorable. The pizza itself was phenomenal. Beautifully baked with a crisp yet chewy crust, rich tomato flavor, and toppings that tasted fresh and thoughtfully put together. On top of that, the ambience was just as impressive: warm, comfortable, and stylish without feeling pretentious, the kind of space where you can relax, enjoy your meal, and lose track of time in good conversation.

A few girl friends and I went here to eat after wedding dress shopping earlier in the week and we had an interesting experience. I live in town so I’ve ordered from here before but have never dined in before this. The place was largely empty besides one other two seater table and one person sitting at the bar. At first, service was fine but as lunch progressed, our server seemed to be more and more inconvenienced by us despite her having one other table. We ordered one drink each, two apps, and singular entrees for all of us. When asked if we wanted another drink, we paused to look at the menu and instead of waiting for an answer, she just walked away?? So I guess no second drink for us. After receiving our food, she basically ignored us to “help” carry a pizza to the front despite 3 other employees being able to do this task and talked to kitchen staff. It took over 20 minutes for her to return to our table AFTER we had obviously been done eating. We then decided to use their QR code on the check to pay instead of waiting for her to come back as we had somewhere else to be. After paying and getting up to leave, she returned “to check everything was paid for” only to discover their system messed something up, split the check incorrectly & was showing we still owed $30 despite everyone who paid already having a receipt. We tried to explain this to her at which point she came back with “well I could have split the check for you” which we replied, we don’t have time to wait for you to find time for us and why didn’t you ask that to begin with considering we are obviously 4 single customers who aren’t together. She didn’t even ask. She then stated she could get her manager which we replied yes, we would see the manager. After waiting a few more minutes for her to come back, we ended up paying the extra tab and watched her talk to kitchen staff instead of addressing the issue with her, now, only customers in the building. Moral of the story, good food but wildly overpriced for what you get (they even upcharged me for a side of ranch) and the service is not worth dinning in, especially if you’re on a schedule.

Visited Salvatore’s for dinner with my daughter. Very cool restaurant and atmosphere. Service was great – attentive and polite.
We had the truffle fries and a large Fat Uncle Tony pizza. The fries were amazing…my daughter said they are her new favorite and would stop again for the fries alone. The pizza was equally fantastic. We ended up bringing half the pizza back home with us.
However, the coolest thing might have been the robot that delivered pizzas and salads from the back of the restaurant to the front for carryout. It was so cool. It also looks like their carryout business was quite busy…which I would consider carryout in the future, but the atmosphere inside is certainly worth going inside to sit down.
Great place. Will visit again and again!

The best part (aside from The food ) is the happy hour prices. $5 off 10″ pies if you sit at the bar. Also, happy hour prices on draft beervand mixers. We are always extremely happy with our experience.

I occasionally treat myself to Salvatore’s , and have a delicious meal and great service every time, even delivery! The Woodsman pizza is my fave, the salads are generous and the meatballs excellent. This was my snowstorm order!

I have to admit that I am rarely stunned by the quality of food these days. So much out there feels like the same old same old. The pizza here is quite possibly my favorite ever pizza. I was stunned that a place in downtown Sun Prairie, Wisconsin had an experience like that to offer…truly. I had it for the first time tonight…and they have absolutely nailed every aspect of a good quality pizza.
My pie was exactly the same as the picture for it online visually. I tasted every ingredient on the Fat Uncle Tony pizza in every single bite. Not a single bite was below exceptional quality in the whole pie.
It is a rare thing for a restaurant to blow me away these days and I’m gonna have a hard time not going back literally tomorrow.
