Incredible dining experience! Service was top notch. Water always being refilled, plates being cleared quickly and the food was well beyond expectations! The steaks were cooked perfectly and they were so tender! We also got 2 apps, that were so full of flavor and the octopus was maybe the most tender I have ever had anywhere. So excited to have this gem in walking distance in the Spring Glen neighborhood!

I got nervous at first because the hostess was lacking professionalism. And then the food and waiter was amazing. The waiter could work in any high end restaurant. Very attentive. Great suggestions and very knowledgeable about the menu items. The food was excellent. The chopped wedge salad had the perfect amount of blue cheese and dressing and the Smokey bacon was done perfectly. Then the octopus was outstanding and cooked perfectly. My husband said it was better than the octopus we had in Spain and we’ve never found any better since 2015. It cut like butter and will be one of our forever apps. I forgot the name but we also had the breaded provolone that was fried with a caper tomato sauce. The cheese was smoothly stretchy and not chewy. My husband had the filet and I had the Delmonico steak. They give you two sides and luckily not too large. They were small and perfect.

Took my wife here yesterday for Valentine’s Day. Amazing food and experience.
The complimentary garlic bread –
The grilled octopus app –
The Kansas City sirloin and NY Strip were both and cooked perfectly.
The warm chocolate fudge cake
Already looking forward to our next dinner there! Service was also great 5 ⭐️
The drinks were also very good. Pistacchio martini was great and my eyes lit up when I saw it. And the Negroni was perfectly sweet.

Exceptional service from start to finish , we like sitting at the bar , lucky for us two spots opened , it was our first time and def won’t be our last . It was early on a Sat night and they were busy ( which we like ) lively bar , booths and tables around , so nice . Toma was one of the bartenders and he was Outstanding.. He was friendly courteous and professional. Made one of the best espresso martinis ( we’re picky with those lol ) We had the chopped salad and octopus to start . Octopus was small but cooked perfectly and so delicious. We both decided to try the steaks but the menu had so many options I can’t wait to go back . The steaks cooked perfectly, they came with a choice of sauce and 2 sides ( now that is not a common steak house thing , so Wow and Ty ) steaks were tender perfectly seasoned the sides we choose all delicious
My only wish is the champagne list to be a bit more extensive .. we’ll be back and if you haven’t been you’re missing out guys

We read another review on a local forum that suggested it was “on par with J Gilberts ” ummm. NOPE. Not even close. The sides looked interesting, but the tarragon in corn so doesn’t work. We did take our steaks home in a doggie bag, but literally for the neighbors dog. We had a 530 reservation, as we were eating dessert (not good either) we were presented the check and told another reservation was coming. I cannot stress how poor the experience was.

Boutique style steak house in Hamden! 10 mins from downtown New Haven. Great, lively and trendy atmosphere in a newly remodeled and exquisitely decorated space. Staff were amazing and very accommodating. We made a reservation 24 hours in advanced for a group of 4 and table was ready for us upon arrival, I highly recommend making reservations.
Dining options were traditional steak house items with an Italian flair that really elevated the experience. Great choice of wines and cocktails, We ended up going with a very good California red that was suggested when I asked for a bottle of house red. Their options of in house made desserts was the cherry on top of a great evening out.
* Parking was a little bit difficult (Thursday evening) but the parking lot across the street saved the night.

Went to Salvatore’s yesterday for Valentine’s Day the place was pretty packed, but the problem was the food, it wasn’t good at all very disappointing we ordered the bone marrow which had no flavor at all just tasted awful, even with the bread, the truffle mac again lacked flavor and well the meatballs was actually too salty. We got two whopping 84$ waygu steaks which was tender but again lacking flavor side of mash potatoes are oddly similar to Popeyes mash potatoes even the cheesecake seems boxed or frozen .. the best thing on the menu was the wine and the grilled octopus overall experience was disappointing

First Impressions: We were welcomed into a beautiful, ranch-chic space—clean, open, and inviting. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, setting the perfect tone for our meal.
Appetizers:
• The fried provolone was a standout—like mozzarella sticks but even better! Rich, buttery, and packed with flavor.
• We shared the rigatoni with bell pepper sauce as an appetizer just to try it, and it did not disappoint—super flavorful and well-balanced.
Entrées:
• The Chicken Sage was fantastic—two perfectly grilled chicken breasts topped with a creamy sage sauce. The mashed potatoes and croquettes on the side were both incredible.
• The Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection, incredibly tender, and paired with spicy, flavorful potatoes.
• The Pork Tenderloin was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor.
Drinks & Service: The espresso martinis were excellent, made with fresh espresso for that extra kick. Despite being a soft opening, the service was seamless—better than we could have expected!
Overall, this is a wonderful family restaurant, and we can’t wait to come back to try more!
*Recommend making a reservation

Went to Salvatore’s for the first time last night and had a great experience. We started with the Provoleta Salvatore and Chicken Satays both were delicious. For my main course, I had the Delmonico steak, which was cooked perfectly, accompanied by rigatoni that was nicely al dente. For sides, I went with the creamed corn and mashed potatoes, both of which were excellent. The service was also top-notch. I’ll definitely be back soon!
