Ignore the current star rating and give this place a try.Was visiting Rochester area for work and was told I have to try a garbage plate. One of locals at work pointed me here. The garbage plate was good and would totally get one again. Im not sure why that food all works together but it does. I can see why its a thing up here. The pizza in the case also looked awesome. Might try that next time.

This review is especially hard for me because I love the taste of Salvatores Pizza. We had a sheet pizza for Halloween that was great. 1 star for today’s experience with the thin thin pizza. Today on Veterans day, we went to get the free medium thin thin pepperoni pizza and trust that we were thankful for the “free” pizza. Let me just say that this particular pizza made me re-think the way in which I sometimes eat. Although it was extremely thin, it appeared to have more grease than any pizza I ever ate. We brought it home and microwaved a couple of slices for just a few seconds. After heating, the grease had soaked the thin wheat crust and was literally dripping from the crust. The taste was as it looked, saturated with grease and tasted very unappetizing. I understand that pizza can be greasy and I have eaten many a greasy pizza but this was beyond greasy and especially for a thin THIN pizza. I am very grateful for the Veterans day free medium pizza but unfortunately, I had to toss it. 🙁 Let me add that the customer service was great and the environment was very clean.

I usually order from this place and the food is fine (I typically just get a pepperoni pizza). This time, I decided to try something different and ordered two steak subs. The subs were supposed to be slightly different — one had extra toppings and was requested to be toasted.
I picked up the order to go and didn’t double-check it before leaving, as it’s usually correct and I didn’t think I needed to. Unfortunately, both subs were made the same way and were incorrect. I work late, so I had an 11:30 PM pickup time. By the time I got home and opened the food, the store was closed. I sent an email right away, even though I knew I probably wouldn’t get a quick response since it was a holiday weekend.
A few days passed and I still hadn’t heard back, so I called. I was told to send another email — which I did — but still received no response. I called again a few days later and was told, “Well, the manager is here but he doesn’t take calls, so send an email.” After explaining that I had already sent two, I was told, “Umm, I’m sorry, but I don’t know what else to tell you. You can try coming up here, but the manager usually leaves early — so again, I don’t know.”
Also, didn’t get the sauce for either sub.

This is the first time ordering from the Jefferson Road restaurant. I have had Salvatore‘s pizza in the past and it was always of good quality. We ordered takeout on a Sunday night instead of having to cook dinner and what we got was a DiGiorno style pre made crust pizza that came practically cold! After waiting for an hour for the delivery person, I still needed to put it in the oven to warm it and finish cooking it!!

Everything was great. Was here for my daughter’s friend’s birthday lunch. Got a sheet pizza and mozz sticks. Pizza was excellent and had a ton of pepperoni. Mozz sticks were good too.

What the heck happened to Salvatore’s?! You guys before you moved to Jefferson Road used to be great, great food and good service.. Now, I honestly am not Ever going to order from ya again.
I took a chance on ordering a simple Steak Sub with grilled Onions and double the Provolone Cheese on Dec 1st at about 4:50PM.
I had to call you guys to check on the status at about 6:20PM.. after you called me to let me know you didn’t have to drinks I ordered.
When I asked about what was to status of my order, all I could be told is that the Grub Hub driver (Not Salvatore’s) picked up my food 30 plus minutes ago and you dont know what more to tell me! Really since when are you sub contracting out to another company to deliver people’s food and give them our phone numbers without stating so on your website or on your menus?! Is this also why your “delivery fees are so much higher now?” Cause you are using another company?!
As for the sub…. it was cold, and dripping with grease!!

After he sounded like he was rummaging around his bags in the car.. He stated, Oh, yeah I have it and I am here to deliver it.
I will never again order from you guys, ya should be ashamed with service and food like that.

The service is always great, but the pizza and wings need improvement. We’ve visited this location several times, and ever since the move to Jefferson Rd, the quality has noticeably declined. The pizza often lacks cheese and sometimes arrives undercooked. During a recent order, I specifically asked for extra cheese and for the pizza to be thoroughly cooked, but the request was still not fulfilled. We ended up trying another nearby Salvatore’s, and the difference was clear—the quality there was excellent. It seems the issue is specific to this location, not the brand as a whole.

Visited 1/3/26 and had a bit of a mixed experience. Unfortunately, the cook was seen not washing his hands after using the bathroom, god i hope he did in the kitchen before touching others food . The pizza was also overcooked. On a positive note, the bartender was fantastic—great service, very knowledgeable, and definitely the highlight of the visit. Overall, I’d say the service was great, but the kitchen could use some improvement.

Ordered a specialty pizza slice combo.
Slice looked ok, I thought they heat up the slice for you before receiving. Nope. Wasn’t hot when I got it. Needed to microwave it when I got to my destination.

What in the world just happened……. first of all, ordering was a struggle as the lady at the counter did not seem to understand what I was ordering (I wanted 2 cheese slices and my husband wanted meat lovers and wings). We ordered everything for dine-in. They “warmed mine up” and threw the pieces in carry out boxes and handed it to me. They charged about $20 for my cheese and I realized she got the order wrong because she handed me 4 slices and when I questioned the price earlier her response was “everyone in Rochester charges $20 for their pizza”. We went to sit down and waited for my husbands slices. So half of our order is out at the point. I opened mine and did not even look heated up, it looked as though it sat under the heat lamp all day and it tasted that way too. Finally my husbands arrived on dine-in plates, melted, and hot. What a complete difference! He also ordered wings which were fine because his order was right out of the oven. Everything was $40. Mine was a COMPLETE rip off and I honestly threw the other 2 pieces out, it was disgusting. The waitress came over at one point when we were sitting down but never even offered any water or anything. Also the music is BLASTING in here so don’t expect a conversation. This is a place to bring a date you don’t really feel like being on because the food sucks and the music is too loud so you don’t need to hold a conversation. And you won’t even get offered beverages for dine-in. I already suspected this place was trash because the customer in front of me was unhappy with her pizza as well. Just a horrible experience. Never again.
