Not sure there’s better French Onion soup in France. This is must in San Miguel! Rooftop restaurant with food that is exemplary. We did the Chèvre salad, 1/2 orders of the Onion Soup, Coq Au Vin and Filet with fois gras and Cambembert with blueberries for dessert. Magnificent- every bite.

The place was great, good food, drinks and the service was excellent. The onion soup was delicious! I had a problem with the way I requested my steak to be cooked, and I had to return it twice. By the time I was able to eat my husband was finished eating and my steak was dry and didn’t have any sauce left. I would still return to this restaurant.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal here on our first night back in San Miguel. On arrival we were taken up to the rooftop terrace with views up to the city and down into the kitchen. Cocktails were quick to arrive and perfectly made.
The menu is quite short which is usually a good sign of fresh ingredients and professional preparation. That was definitely the case here! The fig salad tasted as if the greens had come straight from the farm. Our mains were nothing exotic but all were perfect. The Coq au Vin, steak frites, and the catch of the day (sea bass). The steak was the best I’ve had since being in Argentina.
Service was impeccable and friendly.
There’s not much of a wine list and is sold by the glass. Some nice choices though.
Prices are definitely on the expensive side but given the level of service, the quality of the food and the lovely ambiance we all felt it was a worthwhile evening.

Great restaurant. The food was amazing. The staff very good. You can tell they take pride in their food and their restaurant. We had oysters, fig salad, broccoli, lobster french toast and catch of the day. The broccoli was by far my favorite but it was all amazing. Just a note, the lobster french toast is served a little below room temp just in case you wondered. I had to ask. Simply splendid. My only complaint is the very short wine pour. It was good wine but for 195 pesos/glass I would expect a full pour. Still didn’t ruin the meal.

Had a chill afternoon here. The vibe were perfect for a leisurely lunch. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious!

We especially loved the French soup and the steamed mussels – they were so flavorful, but the dessert ..a Molleaux au praliné was to die for.

Definitely recommend Salvajes for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.

Note: Wasn’t surprised to later learn Chef Jorge Avendaño was part of the Noma Tulum experience.

We finally made it for dinner last night. This place has been on my list for a while. It was everything I’d hoped for and more. Hands down, one of the best meals I’ve had in SM. Also, the service was excellent. Bien hecho Salvajes!!!

We came here to celebrate Bastille Day (July 14th), and had a wonderful time. We were welcomed by a friendly and engaging host, who walked us to our table.

The food itself is delicious! The Camembert as a starter was nothing short of amazing. I strayed away from ordering the typical Coq au vin as my main, and tried the lengua dish. I was apprehensive at first (it may not be for everyone), but I was pleasantly surprised! Steak frites were delicious as well, remember ordering medium rare is like ordering it blue. Ask to confirm.

Cocktails were tasty and the two local SMA wines we had reminded me a bit of Sonoma wines we have back home. They were great and now looking to visit those SMA wineries while here.

Although we sat on the top Terrazza, we noticed there was a small seating section below where you can view the food preparation. Next time we’ll try to sit at that space, looked really intimate yet in front of the action.

Will come back!

This restaurant has become one of our favorite go-tos in San Miguel! Every dish is seriously delicious, rich and full of flavor. Both the brunch and dinner are both incredible. The wine list is great. The chef and the service are top-notch. Highly recommend!

You don’t always get equally amazing service, food, and ambiance in one place in San Miguel but it happens here. Quality service and delicious food served family style (but they might allow half orders). Cocktails are also creative, balanced perfectly and presented beautifully. High-end dishes and presentations without the attitude.
