Absolutely loved our experience at Salut Bar Americain!

From the moment we walked in, everything felt warm and welcoming. The patio seating is absolutely adorable!!! Beautiful, cozy, and such a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. It’s the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to linger just a little longer.

Our server, Christian, was amazing! So attentive, kind, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. You can really tell he cares about creating a great experience for his guests.

The food was delicious, especially the French onion soup, which was rich, flavorful, and perfectly done. My kids and I genuinely enjoyed every bite and had such a great time together. It’s one of those places that makes dining out feel special. Not just because of the food, but because of the memories you make while you’re there.

Saturday evening we stopped in for a celebration dinner here and we were seated right away, but this was before the dinner rush.

Dale was a wonderful server, very attentive and funny while remaining professional. We did have to utilize the free parking garage about a block away.

The atmosphere here was very cozy and well lit, we started off with happy hour cocktails which were so delicious we tried all of them. From the Duchess, the spritz, mule royale and the French rose. Hard to decide which was the best when we truly enjoyed them all.

However, the food didn’t really wow us personally, we started off with the chips but the dip was really bland. My husband said he enjoyed his chalet sliders. The oysters were good and I’m glad I tried them during happy hour for a fraction of the cost.

I was really disappointed with the French onion soup. I tried to add salt and pepper but it just wasn’t cutting it. The halibut was delicious and the asparagus were perfectly cooked, along with the couscous. My husband didn’t enjoy his hanger au poivre and along with the 5% service charge this place is really hit or miss with the food.

Although everything isn’t for everybody I would recommend you to come and try it for yourself and form your own opinion.

Popped in for a late lunch. Love the atmosphere. It has that French cafe feel. The Aperol spritz was so refreshing on a hot afternoon. The 3 course Le Deal was just great. Smooth flavorful gaspacho, mushroom crepe, finished with chocolate mousse was the route I took. All so good. The service was friendly and attentive. Will go back again and again.

I’d give this place 4.5 stars if I could. Not James Beard award winning but the food is solid. The oysters were on happy hour and they were fresh, firm, and briny. The salads were creative, well executed, and the most memorable part of our meal. We had both the beet salad and the endive. The handmade chips were fine. The walleye was moist and flaky and the sauce with capers was a nice compliment. The salmon nomande with clams was classic and satisfying. The poulet paillard was crispy and sure to please a picky eater. Service was wonderful – we had Ronda !

We had a group dinner at Salut and it was everything we could ask for! From the reservation to the dessert – it was a quick, smooth process and delicious food! They were able to fit almost 20 people in the back area and we were served quickly and with a friendly smile! I would highly recommend the walleye but there are so many other delicious choices the group was raving about! Great atmosphere, very well put together menu and friendly staff! I would choose it again and again!

I loved our waiter! She is amazing. She paid attention to us but didn’t require attention by announcing every move she was making or interrupting our conversation like so many other wait service people do. We didn’t want her to ever leave us. The food was good although some of the portions were small on the HH menu. But no problem! We were outside and enjoying the weather and my birthday, so it was perfect. Mia even brought me a dessert with a candle. A really nice experience.

Phenomenal first visit. We arrived during happy hour and grabbed a lovely table on the patio surrounded by ferns. We enjoyed a DELICIOUS fig/walnut/arugula flatbread, house made chips paired with an excellent Pinot grigio and lemonade cocktail. The food, atmosphere and service was so good we changed our plans and stayed for dinner! Loved the Belgian endive salad and my friend raved about his croque monsieur.

I will absolutely be back and highly recommend!

The food here was amazing. Great Happy Hour offerings as well as a very delicious regular menu. We had the escargot (wonderful), the beet salad (one of the best salads ever), and the grilled salmon & lobster roll. Both main entrees were delicious and perfect portion sizes. The atmosphere is both great for a special night out, as well as family friendly.

Food was amazing, the patio (even in the alley) had great ambiance, and the service was fantastic. The kids options were surprisingly good too. Highly recommend the Linguini Aux Parlourdes, if you like seafood pasta. Paired well with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. They have a happy hour even on the weekends where all beers on tap and some wines by the glass are on special. Still cheaper to get a bottle of wine if you have a big group, but if you’re just getting a glass or two, it’s a good deal. The Bouillabaisse comes in two sizes now and is a little bit of work cracking crab shells, but is delicious. If you’re getting a filet (Le Filet), recommend going a touch rarer than you like. Med-rare came in a little more medium, but that was likely due to us having a larger party. For dessert we had the profiteroles and the millefeuille. They were everything Paul Hollywood said they should be on GBBO. Highly recommend the millefeuille. The profiteroles had ice cream in them, which just made them hard to eat, but they were tasty.

The food was great. The mussels were recommended by the server. The flavors were really light and lemony. The calamari was lightly breaded which I loved because it didn’t just taste like a fried appetizer. We also ordered the crab cake that is worth getting but definitely on the richer side. We ate out side and loved the patio area. It had a quaint romantic feel to it.
