Stopped by Saluda’s for the first time and sat at the bar, just after opening on a Tuesday. It was restaurant week, so I ordered from that menu. I started with a glass of the Prisoner Red Blend, which I enjoyed. I ordered the Meatballs and Burrata to start, which was a huge portion, and very delicious. Then the Soup of the Day, which was Lobster Bisque. It was light, velvety, and flavorful. My entree was Lamb Osso Buco. I’d never had this dish, so I was excited to try it, but what really blew me away were the collard greens. Easily the best I’ve ever had! The lamb fell off the bone, and the mashed potatoes were nicely seasoned. I hadn’t planned on dessert after all that, but after seeing Sticky Toffee Pudding on the menu, I had to try it. It was soft and moist, and the caramel sauce was perfect. Had I not already been so full, I would’ve opted for a scoop of ice cream to top it off. I’ve heard Saluda’s mentioned time and time again, and it did not disappoint. Service was also excellent, and very attentive in the right way. Will definitely be back, and can recommend without reservation.

We came here for Valentine’s Day and spent about $150 for two people. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t recommend it. The fried oysters were soggy, the chef’s cheese board were just your average choices Brie, blue cheese, and white cheddar and our entrées were just okay, not bad, but definitely not worth the price. We had a reservation and still waited about 40 minutes for a table. The owner came over and apologized to the couple next to us for the delay but didn’t acknowledge us, which felt a little strange. Maybe they had been waiting longer, but it still stood out. That said, our waitress was good and very attentive, and we appreciated her service. Overall, the experience didn’t match the cost, and we wouldn’t return.

In all the years I’ve been living here I’ve never been to this restaurant and man have I been missing out. This place is absolutely amazing. Beautiful inside with a gorgeous elevated porch. Food was outstanding. I think I could have made a meal on the Mac and cheeses on my wife’s plate. Steak was cooked perfectly with an excellent char. I highly recommend coming here.

We hosted our company Christmas party at Saluda’s in Columbia, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The service was excellent — attentive, professional, and made our entire group feel well taken care of all night.
The food was outstanding. The halibut was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the filet mignon was tender, juicy, and cooked exactly right. Every dish we tried was delicious and beautifully presented.
Saluda’s was the perfect setting for a special event, and they truly delivered on both food and service. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

This is the perfect spot for a date night or a girls night. The service was amazing and the New York strip was cooked to perfection.
Warning: portion sizes are huge, definitely worth it.

We had our company dinner at Saludas and I could rave about this restaurant all day! Their private dining room was perfect for us and everybody had a blast. Parker and Eli took amazing care of us, the staff was wonderful from the greeting all the way to walking out the door. Cocktails were phenomenal and one of the best espresso martinis I’ve had in quite some time. Perfect for a large group or a date night, but I’ll definitely be back soon!

We sat at the bar, as we were too late trying to get in on a Sat night. It’s easy to see why this establishment draws a crowd. The good was really good. We had the menu option for $55 00. We chose the same except for the starter. I had the crab cake an my husband had the Greek fried tomatoes. Both really good. We had a fish kind of Bisque….oh my word it was fantastic. Then the lamb shank. It was a huge shank. I think it would have been a great idea for the chef to figure out a really small desert that would keep them within their cost frame. And I mean small. Just one biter. All in all this place is a win. We had very very good service from the 2 bartenders.

I dined here for my company party and everything exceeded expectations. Eli and Parker gave excellent service. I ordered the filet medium and it was cooked perfectly. They have a great wine selection and their bartender Nancy made me the best espresso martini I have had in Columbia. I highly recommend this restaurant for a large group outing all the way down to a date night.

Food
The peach cobbler with ice cream was DELICIOUS. The flavor of the savory foods were muted. I can taste the seasonings and spices, they just seem muted. It didn’t take very long to be prepared and presented to us. So we didn’t wait a long time to be served food. I got the sirloin steak but had a different side. I had the rice with beans with the steak. The rice was too wet. The beans were good but tasted like canned beans to me. The steak was a little dry and not flavourful enough. The wind selection was very nice.
Service
I visited on a Tuesday night at 8 pm. I had a reservation. We were seated promptly. Our waiter was attentive.
Atmosphere
I liked the table decor. The lighting was warm and inviting. But the music was too loud for an intimate experience on the inside. Patrons spoke louder than conversational level to compensate. This caused an overall loud environment.
I chose patio seating. It was more quiet and intimate. But It was hot and muggy. Several large ceiling fans helped to prevent overheating.
I was told by a coworker that you would be able to see the city lights. The building isn’t tall enough for that. Your back drop is a large tree with stringed lights over a water fountain. You overlook a busy 4 way intersection with a traffic light. City folk loudly held personal convos as they walked by, people were leaving work, people were drunk and stumbling (1-2 people). This took away from a romantic atmosphere, which is what I expected.
Overall
I wanted an intimate dinner with my husband for our anniversary. I got most of what I wanted.
