After a spicy Ceasar in the bar, we were seated in the dining room. Lovely waterview window table to start our evening. Our server, Dane, was super attentive without rushing us.
We shared a large slab salad known as a wedge salad at other places. The blue cheese dressing is really good here.
A must try offering was the fried Brussels sprouts that were prepared with a yummy sweet glaze that included pork shoulder pieces. Honestly, this is hands down the BEST Brussel sprout dish we’ve ever tasted. Large serving, so share it.
My husband’s filet mignon was cooked perfectly. It was as good as the Wagu beef we recently had. Flavorful and so tender. It was served with whipped mashed potatoes and fresh sauted green beans. I had a few bites and was full with the other we already consumed.
This experience was better than 5 stars. We highly recommend Salty’s at Alki.
We used to have their brunch pre-Covid and each dishes were high quality. After they re-open the brunch post covid, they raised the price double with only 90mins dine in time. The food quality went downhill especially the prime ribs, very dry and tough. The only quality remains is their fresh oysters.
My daughter was looking forward for the chocolate fountain, but the chocolate didn’t crust up like it should be.
Our family of 9 were being seated outside (originally seated downstairs, but my mom cannot walk too much so they changed to upstairs outside) they said they cannot accommodate a group of 9 indoor for us even we made reservation noting that ahead of time. However we saw groups of more than 9 being seated inside during our brunch (also saw from some of the reviews)
We would not recommend Salty’s brunch to anyone. It is not worth the value for the quality of food they have.
The views from the dining room of down town Seattle are beautiful and we even saw a few sea lions swim by.
Food was fantastic! We got the swordfish and the crab stuffed steelhead. Both meals were warm, fresh and so delicious! Fantastic spot for fresh seafood.
The food was fantastic with perfect seasoning and cook levels. The turkey was so moist and tasted nearly as good as homemade. The yams/sweet potatoes were good but I preferred the sweet carrots. I also had some of the seafood platter, which had such excellent attention given to it by whichever cook made it. The mac & cheese was so good that I couldn’t resist a 2nd & 3rd portion. The ham was good enough to melt in my mouth.
Once I got to dessert, the number of options was incredibly tough to decide on. The pumpkin flavored cake slices was my absolute favorite and the star of that section! But the red velvet cupcakes were a close 2nd place.
I wanted to take my leftovers home so that I could drop them off to some homeless folks, especially on that night of giving thanks. However, leftovers were not allowed on that night, which i can understand, since everyone woukd be trying to bring home extras for later. Still, it seemed so wasteful, on that night especially.
Our waiter had the best tableside manner and allowed us to be attended to with care and not overwhelming us with too frequent of visits. It was just right how he served our table.
Special thanks to the bar manager who helped me while I tried to figure out when my family would be seated, when I arrived. The front end staff was so busy that I didn’t want to disturb their flow they had going.
I ended up being lucky enough to meet the general manager and it gave staff the nicest compliments that I could think to convey. Hopefully those made it to the proper people who deserve the recognition. I did forget to compliment the oyster table, the ham station & the shrimp servers. Hopefully he reads this, so he can also know how great those folks were too.
I hope to be able to afford to visit for a meal on my own some day, as right now i cant even visit Wendy’s without trying to spend under $8 per meal.
Thanks to everyone at Salty’s who made my family feel welcome and appreciated all night long.
If my experience was how every customer feels when they visit Salty’s, then I imagine so many others would write such a positive review, if they had the time.
I think you’ll enjoy your time at Salty’s on Alki any day that you go in there!
