Wars have been on 3 Alaska cruises and have been here twice. They have, hands down, the BEST Halibut Fish and Chips and they are worth every penny. We visited today, had wonderful service, great food, tasty beer and purchased 2 hats!!

Chill place to hang out after a sweaty hike. We had the fish and chips, which was crispy on the outside and the halibut was creamy.
Service was friendly and attentive. My wife really liked their friesl!

Visited in June 2025. Stopped in here for lunch. The food and service were good. We had the king crab leg, crab rangoon, and halibut fish and chips. All of it was delicious.

This was one of the first places we saw when we got off the boat and after finishing our train ride we stopped here for some lunch. Wait wasn’t long despite it being very busy and we were seated at a table with plenty of room. The staff here are dialed in and know how to provide excellent service while understanding they’re trying to balance being slammed by cruise tourists who are all on different timelines. I had the King Crab and fries meal and my fiancée had Halibut and chips. Generally I think it’s better to get cod for fish and chips but this was really good halibut under a nice batter! The crab was unreal, my only complaint was it was just the single leg which was great but I could’ve definitely done a second! The table next to us also got some of the appetizers which all looked great. I think our servers name was Sid as I asked her before I left but they clearly have a great team at the restaurant! My fiancée got some swag and got a very nice T shirt that the staff were wearing! She loves it and it’s great material. When you stop here for a cruise stop or otherwise you won’t be disappointed!

Great meal at The Salty Siren near the cruise ship docks in Skagway. We must have gotten in between cruise ship passenger visits and it was very quiet when we arrived. The halibut fish and chips was really good as was the sockeye salmon sandwich. We also had the chowder which didn’t disappoint. Service was fast and the staff pleasant. Highly recommend!

Dropped in here to have lunch and I was not disappointed. The salmon sandwich with wasabi panko was amazing and I wanted another one immediately. Only regrets is that I didn’t get one to go. Friend got an oyster po’boy and she enjoyed her meal too. Also, local beers were delicious and views were an 11 out of 10.

We popped into a quieter place than Main Street but were blown away by how good this place was! The fish was so fresh and the beers were phenomenal. The chowder, butt and Brie and fish and chips were iconic. Worth the visit!

The place is solid. We ordered the king crab and Salty’s Alaskan chowder, both were good, service was on point. Clark also gave us some solid recommendations for things to do. Also this place is Skagway Brewing’s tap house, so the beer is good.
