We love this place! We’ve tried nearly everything on the menu and have been happy with the food. The service and people are great too! We love the Philly Cheesesteak, sassy chicken, and Reuben sandwiches. The beef tips and salmon dinners are great. Love the fried pickles! And their desserts are homemade and never disappoint. I’m so happy this place is close to home and so good.

Awesome little diner in Leicester. Eat there or takeout multiple times a month. Really good food, the breakfast is the highlight of the menu. Great Service and staff, clean and welcoming. Owner is awesome and always inquiring if there is anything they can do to improve the food or service. 4.9 stars

Salty Goat is a great place. The people are nice and welcoming. The food is ok, and I think the menu could use some deviation. Really cool place all around and we’d love to revisit.

We love the Salty Goat. We have been in Leicester for 18 years and it’s wonderful to have a local spot with great food. They do the basics really well and have slowly introduced some higher end dishes like pan seared tuna and when I have ordered the surf and turf (steak and shrimp) the steak has been perfectly cooked and the shrimp were large, fresh and not overcooked. Now serving dinners 3 nights a week it’s really nice to not have to cook every night.

Highly recommend! Fantastic bacon burger and fries. Not frozen patties, and the fries are homemade. Both were seasoned well, and perfectly cooked. Best burger I have had in a while. Worth the drive. I will return. Service was also quick and friendly.

This place is excellent! Rotating board specials besides an excellent menu. I see lots of families with small children eating there. The place is small, but I’ve never seen it go to a waiting list. The waitstaff is very nice and accommodating. The cooks are very good and get the food out fast and correct the first time. The owner is very friendly and asks how everything is.
It’s probably one of the best-kept secrets in the area. I hope they stick around; they deserve to.

We had a great breakfast. My husband got the breakfast bowl. I got pancakes and bacon. Cute and fun little spot by the highway. Liked the Christian references and the local feel. The owner was very appreciative of our visit.

A piece of heaven, this place is perfection! Country dining at its most authentic—comforting, easy, and pleasant. Each team member has such a big heart of service, which translates directly into the warm atmosphere and delicious menu. My husband and I are local and come here once a week for breakfast, and our experience is consistently and absolutely excellent. When you’re here, you can enjoy a good meal, relax from the hustle and bustle, and count your blessings. The Salty Goat is my favorite breakfast joint in WNC, and I couldn’t be more thankful that we have such a high quality restaurant so close to our home. Thank you, Salty Goat!
