Ok, this is a hidden gem in Maggie Valley. If you want seafood, this is the place to come. They make everything from scratch back in the kitchen. The service is excellent. You will more than likely meet Patty behind the bar. Super sweet and always on top of things. Ask her for recommendations. The coconut shrimp is unbelievable. I highly recommend.

Stopped in on my way to Cherokee. Judy the bartender was such a pleasant lady. Everyone was nice. Although a seafood grill I chose the grilled chicken breasts with mac and cheese and green beans. Those were some of the best green beans I’ve ever had. So good I asked for seconds right then. Very good food. If you love green beans like I do definitely, definitely make.sure to get them as a side…or double..

We went on what seemed like an average night. We didn’t order nothing too extravagant, and proceeded to wait over an hour for our food and close to 30 min for just the appetizer. The quality of the food just wasn’t there for us. Half of my French fries were hard as rocks, and the burgers weren’t don’t according to our order. It has a pretty decent dive bar feel to it with music and a fun vibe. I don’t see myself returning to here, though.

My wife and I went in tonight. Found we were the only ones eating and a couple people at the bar. Ordered both appetizer and main dishes at one time. Took almost 30 minutes for appetizer. Frozen fried sampler. Then another 30 or so minutes for the main dishes. My wife’s burger was raw and my trout was over salted. Wife took 1 bite then spit it out. I ate 4 bites and couldn’t eat anymore. Horrible service and terrible food. Waitress told us the chef used to work in fine dining. As a former culinary school member, there is no way this chef worked in fine dining. Will NOT be returning. If you serve food, Focus on your food and service and not so much the bar.

It took 20 minutes before we were brought a menu then a 1 1/2 hour to get our food. There was one other table of four people and one guy at the bar then the server accidentally barged our ticket to someone else’s card . I was so looking forward to eating here because I heard great seafood and so disappointed in the service

They charge an extra $3 for mac n cheese with your meal. Which would be fine but it was only THREE bites worth. It was in a tiny sauce cup!! Also it didn’t even say it was an up charge on the menu to began with. Don’t go and if you do don’t get the mac n cheese!!!

My kid and I dropped in to order takeout. We sat unnoticed for about 10 min before I finally got up and went to the bar asking for service. Once noticed, we were able to place our order for take out. We both opted for the Grilled shrimp. My kid chose fries and mac n cheese for her sides. I chose the green beans and baked potato.
The grilled shrimp had a nice solid coating of butter, they were cooked perfectly. However, we both joked that non of our food was salty enough for a place called “Salty Dogs”. So we did have to season ourselves. The green beans had small bits of bacon, again not salty, rather bland on their own. My baked potato was soft and delicious. My kid ate their fries over their mac n cheese. So I can’t attest for that.
We did try calling in for a takeout order, but never did get through. It would seem an online ordering system would be a good investment for this place.

Laid back comfortable atmosphere with fast and friendly server’s. The menu has many choices and all are good choices. I had the mountain trout with their fresh cut fries and freshly made cole slaw. The trout covered the entire dish and was delicious. Loved the fries and cole slaw. Also had the coconut shrimp as an appetizer. I regretted that after seeing the size if the trout….lol. Jennifer was my server and she was friendly and courteous and checked on me several times and made good recommendations for me to try. Restaurant was clean and lots of nostalgic hanging up throughout the restaurant.
