Salty Dog has amazing pizza! I really enjoyed the Bacon Cheesebuger pizza and the garden salad. My kids loved the cheese and pepperoni pizzas. The indoor seating is fairly small. They have quite a few picnic tables outdoors, which is where we sat. One important note – there is no public restroom. If you’re dining in, make sure to stop at a restroom before going.

Just moved to town and decided to try salty dogs for dinner. My only regret is not trying this sooner. Prices are very very reasonable for what you get. Their calzones is easily one of the best I have ever had.

Closes way too early in Mathews! Most pizza places stay open later than other places. I really like the pizza when I order it with less sauce and extra cheese!! I’ve only tried pepperoni so far.

Always afraid to try pizza far from the NJ/NY/Philly area. Opted for a seafood pizza. Wasn’t sure what to expect but it was pretty good. Kinda like an alfredo sauce, not red. Or maybe it’s just cheese. IDK. Girl at the counter was friendly. Prices were fair. Looked clean inside. Three tables set up for dining in. Would visit again.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Best meatball sub I’ve ever eaten. Hubby had the baked spaghetti and said it was fantastic. Cool atmosphere and great service along with reasonable pricing. We just might have to grab a pizza on our way out of town! We are in town for a quick & quiet getaway and feel we found quite a gem, not only in the area, but in Salty Dog Pizza. Hope to visit again someday.

Great pizza, ingredients are fresh, dough had great crust and soft on the inside and sauce had a salter taste than sweet (a sweet sauce is gross). Will definitely be going back. Customer service was friendly and atmosphere was inviting.
