My boyfriend recommended Saltwater Grill for our two year anniversary lunch, i’ve lived in swansboro for awhile now but haven’t tried this restaurant yet, safe to say it was an amazing choice and first experience here!! I ordered a key lime martini and wow, it was so good! Our server was awesome and super attentive, i had a bunch of questions which he had no problem explaining, amazing customer service! For lunch my boyfriend ordered shrimp and grits and i ordered chicken tacos. Our food came out very quickly and everything down to the sides was just so yummy, kudos to the chef! For dessert we got the key lime pie and i can safely say i’ve never had one as good as theirs. I will happily recommend this place to anyone, everything was amazing and we will definitely be back soon! Thank you to all the restaurant staff for a memorable anniversary!!

The views are very nice. The food was really tasty; the chef did a really nice job with our meal. It’s a good place for a date night. During the summer season, I’m sure parking is much more challenging as space(parking) is relatively limited. We enjoyed our visit, will definitely be back, & encourage others to try it out.

This place is a hidden gem. The menu simple and under stated. Every bite is delightful. She crab soup better than most offerings in Charleston (Savannah girl, know what I am talking about) We enjoyed Chef Eric’s broccoli and cheddar soup, absolutely delicious! One of the best I have had in my 70 years. The shrimp scampi is another level. Yum! The quality of “good”rivals Michelin establishments. Kitchen knows what it is doing! Service could use some tweaking. Leaving dirty dishes and glasses through the meal, putting down the check while still eating, etc. Mostly education issues. Server was friendly, just not familiar with the “rules” of service.
Chef Eric is a special addition visiting with diners, genuine interests in feedback. He is a real added value! An overall delightful way to start the New Year!

28 years vacationing in EI, and this was our first time dining at Saltwater Grill. Reservations are highly recommended during peak season.
Atmosphere was great due to having outdoor seating overlooking the water with mid 70s temps. Service was good. Food was good, but not the best that I’ve had on the island.
Appetizers: Crab Dip was OK and we tried the Alligator Bites for the first time. They were interesting but would not order again at any restaurant.
Salads: I was really disappointed in the Ranch dressing. Such a nice establishment should have homemade Ranch dressing, not Hidden Valley bottle Ranch. I can eat it, but I complain about it.
Entrees: Seafood Platter- good, Fried Shrimp- good, Salmon- good, Yellow Fin Tuna- good and Blackened Chicken with Butter Caper Sauce … chicken- good but not a fan of the sauce.
It wasn’t a bad experience, but we have other island favorites that we’d rather eat twice.

It was good. I got the “Angels on Horses” dish. Very bold, but it was tasty. My date had the Fried shrimp. It wasn’t greasy and lightly breaded which we both liked. The only issue was with Google maps that took me behind the restaurant. Not Saltwater Grills fault though. So, if you use Google maps, turn one driveway sooner.

Overall we had a good experience. The drinks were perfect, the mango jalapeño margarita was amazing, the perfect level of spicy. Food was great and didn’t take ages to be delivered to our table. The sautéed spinach would be amazing if added just a touch more salt and some fresh garlic. But no other complaints from us about the food.
We had Ashley take care of us and she was amazing. The view was also amazing, I recommend getting seated outside, the breeze feels so good in the heat!

Sam W., chef, accommodated us in a most pleasant way when the elevator would not work. He set us up in the social events area with delicious food and excellent service. The creamed spinach he made was top notch! The view is beautiful and the food is excellent. I highly recommend!

First things first, our server, Lexi, was awesome. Friendly, attentive, and so helpful. The food came out fast. The crab cakes were fresh and delicious. The seafood platter, while fried, it was a light batter. The fish was excellent, and the oysters were delicious, as was the shrimp. We were able to get a table outside and enjoy the setting sun. Great experience for our first time, and if we move to the area, Saltwater Grill will become a great habit. 5 gold stars! AAA!

Food is fantastic views are to die for it’s really a nice place if you wanna have lunch with a view. Unfortunately, there were flies all around the porch. Where we sat and the service. My service provider was not very nice at all. It was unfortunate. Lunch for 2 with 2 entrees, 2 desserts, one glass of wine and 1 coffee tax and tip came to a $102. I will not be going back for lunch..
