Food is typical of other restaurants. We ordered the seafood fried platter which is OK. Same with the calamari. Nothing really to rave about. Service is awesome however. Our waitress made sure our drinks are topped off.

The waitress was lovely. The owners checked on us. The food we have had every single trip has been absolutely phenomenal and that is as somebody who worked in food service management for a number of years. They seem to have a high turnover on the weight staff but that could just be the days that we visit. My wife and I muse about visiting by pulling up in our kayaks one day and we will. We have eaten both outside and inside. There is ample access to both. I have enjoyed fish, various fresh vegetables, and my wife enjoys beef courses and the same vegetables such as asparagus and steamed spinach. As far as I can tell, everything is incredibly fresh and worth the price.

Four of us arrived by boat on a Tuesday afternoon. Excellent slip dockage directly in front of restaurant. Service was fast and friendly. We all had seafood and each dish was outstanding! The tuna cooked perfectly, shrimp and flounder just right and the oysters were the best we’ve had since leaving the Chesapeake Bay! Prices were very reasonable. Great spot for boaters on the Trent. We’ll be back soon!

This place is hit and miss..if you have parties less than 4 you’ll be great. If you have twice as many people service and food suffers. Waitress said it was because of the new cook but who knows. Will try again when it’s only a couple of us..this time we had 8 people and it was a disaster. They did offer to discount some of the tickets because of the inconvenience and trouble. They did have a good musician playing the guitar tonight, thought that was pretty neat though.

A nice restaurant in a beautiful location on the water. Not overly expensive like most waterfront places are. They custom made our burgers, combining the deck burger with the portobello mushroom burger, and they were good. The French Fries and asparagus were really good, but the star was the She Crab Soup!! We sat inside and had great views of the river, and it was quiet and peaceful. Our waitress was great as well.

Dinner on a calm Monday night. Immediate and excellent service. Excellent food, probably a bit high priced for the area, but not too high. Enjoyed the quiet, high ceilings, and the river / canal view. They also have excellent outdoor seating, when the weather allows.

I have been to Saltwater many times since they opened. They never disappoint, and the food is delicious! Drinks are amazing, and plentiful. The bartenders are great at mixing up something tasty when I cannot decide what I want. This place definitely has a friendly atmosphere! Outdoor dining is relaxing, especially when they have someone performing on the deck! I can’t wait to go back!

Very nice to see a menu with all that seafood on it. Calamari was great, The “angels on horseback” was to die for. The fried oysters were the best my husband has had in a while. He enjoyed the Shecrab soup as well. Great views of the water. Service was friendly and good.

Ok. First I’d like to thank Ms Katie for wonderful service. This was our first time dinning at saltwater grill. Friends of ours pulled there boat up to the dock and there it was. All of us thought the food was fantastic!!! The fried oysters and calamari was perfect. I urge anyone that sees this review to eat at this restaurant. We have to keep this place in river bend. You can drive your car or boat right up the place. I’d hate to see this place close. I’m going to come back with as many people as I can.

We loved this place. The menu is really extensive with well described dishes. The wine menu isn’t large but it is pretty good. Deserts were nice but tiramisu in a martini glass doesn’t work. The atmosphere is nice and modern with artwork on the walls. Outside deck also very nice. I wish they had landscaping. We’ll be back.
