I felt genuinely disrespected by how this restaurant handled a simple issue after my birthday dinner and by what appears to be dishonesty about what happened.
We celebrated my birthday here, and to be fair, the food was great. The service wasn’t perfect, but we chose not to focus on that since it was a special occasion.
After leaving, we accidentally left three birthday balloons behind. I realized this very quickly and called the restaurant as soon as possible, asking them to please keep the balloons so my family could pick them up the next morning. They agreed.
My family then made the effort to return the next day, only to be told that there was just one balloon, and that “only one had been left behind in the first place.” That is simply not true.
This is not about the cost of balloons — it’s about honesty, accountability, and respect. Being told something that contradicts what actually happened, after we clearly communicated and made the effort to come back, was extremely disappointing and left me feeling dismissed as a customer.
This experience overshadowed what should have been a happy birthday celebration, and I expected much better handling of such a straightforward situation.
The filet was decent and slightly better than what we’ve had at Outback Steakhouse, but the rest of the meal was underwhelming. The sweet potato came out burnt, and the queso wasn’t very hot when it reached the table.
Service was also slower than expected. Our server was polite but didn’t check on our table very often. Another server actually stepped in to help us a few times, which we appreciated.
Overall, the experience just didn’t feel worth the cost. With smaller portions, slow service, and inconsistent food quality, we left feeling like we paid a lot for a pretty average meal.
No pico in my queso (it was 16 bucks and is great when made correctly, but this is just blah) it should have been included, as I specifically didn’t remove it.
No bread.
The dressing for my salad was also incorrect. Thousand island instead of ranch and honey mustard.
Sweet potato fries were cold and limp..
Steak and other sides were fine, and
Ribs are amazing, but without all the other goodies, the other, separate sides are unsatisfing.
Hopefully it was just a bad night
Friday afternoon around 5 to 6 could be a bit rush and best to reserve seating ahead. It slow down after 6Pm though. They tend to make mistakes on orders when it is busy.
Steak is their strong suit, the steaks temperature were right on. Very good steaks.
In general, the kitchen is good on preparing the steaks to showcase the cut with good control of temperature and time. The delivering to orders however is lacking behind especially under pressure.
The fired onion that came with the range rattler was very good, (much better than the range rattler). The range rattler wasn’t up to the expectation, favors wasn’t quit matching together.
Fried mushroom was better than the range rattler. Dinner Salad was better than soups and other options.
The quail upgrade is good option to take on. However the Brussels sprout was the current popular chatted method which not that great match to the rest of the dish.
Bread was great, the butter is a bit on the sweet side.
Chesscake to finish the meal is good.
Do better for comfort, Salt Grass.
