Usually i dont go on weekends because it does get busy. I would go before 5pm during the week or when they open on weekends. The waitress was nice and helpful she would check on us to see if everything was ok. The wait on our food was longer because it was so busy so that was expected. Country fried steak was as big as the plate.

Went with the kids on a little day trip to San Marcos and ended up here at Salt Grass for lunch. This particular restaurant had great service, but the food was mediocre. Our steaks were not cooked to our liking. I wanted medium, and I got medium rare. My son also asked for his steak to be medium, and he got medium well. He was very dissatisfied. They did make up for it by offering to make him another, but he didn’t want us to wait for him so he just ate what they brought him. Ambience is great, and service is excellent. The Grandbabies loved the brisket in the burger.

Unlike the kobe joint nearby…. your establishment rocks! Amazing fair and shockingly low bill. Thank you again as we have enjoyed many of your locations, never disappointed.. again not paid in anyway as a food critic. But definitely qualified to do so. We have paid $1000 or more for an equivalent dinner . However this humble establishment was a mere $200 with a 25% (+) tip. Can’t wait to return

Celebrated my 10 year anniversary here. My wife and i enjoyed wonderfully seasoned and cooked steaks with the cajun topping on them. The staff was great, the food was excellent , the wait was not too long. Everything was great. Definitely will be returning

This was our first time going to Saltgrass and to be honest we went in with low expectations. We wanted to try a new steak place other than Texas Road house. Our amazing server Maddie made sure we had full drinks the whole service, answered all of our questions about the different steak toppings, along with just a fantastic attitude. After the excellent service by Maddie and the wonderful food we now have a new favorite steak place! Thanks again Maddie, we will make sure to ask for you the next time we come (which will be very soon!)

Food was ok. Fries weren’t fries they were breakfast potatoes . Some of them were under cooked. Steak was pretty good medium rare. Salmon was disgusting covered in a cheese sauce. Gross. Also dead crickets near my table. See photo. Service was great though. He did a good job. I think Jiminy had a different opinion about the treatment though. . Drinks were good. I recommend the White Cosmo. I likely won’t be back.
