We went to Saltgrass for Thanksgiving and enjoyed our meal. We did not get the holiday meal, we ordered from the menu. The ribs tasted excellent, the steaks were cooked perfect and were seasoned well. The house salad was fresh, added egg and bacon! The service was attentive although they were extremely busy! Overall had an excellent experience. Happy Thanksgiving.

We have been dining here for many years. Service is always friendly and courteous. We ordered Sirloin steak with baked potato and chicken tortilla soup for the sides, Filet with sides of sweet potato fries and Tortilla soup and my daughter ordered Sirloin steak from the kids menu with fries and peach iced tea. Steaks were prepared at our desired temperature and were well seasoned. We visited on a Saturday night but thankfully were able to be seated right away. Our server Andrew was really good, made sure we were taken care of well and kept checking on us.
Lots of seating which includes tables, booths and bar seating.

Excellent food and service at this restaurant. We came here as a group of 8.
Our food was cooked just as we asked for which believe it or not doesn’t happen at all steakhouses I have visited. Our waiter was very courteous and prompt with a very good knowledge of the menu. I highly recommend this location!

Never again, we had a party of 16, we called ahead to advise that we would have a big party, we were told that we would be sitting in a long table. When we arrived we were told that we had to wait for the table to be ready as they needed to find the tables to sit us all. We waiting roughly 30-40 minutes to be seated. When we were sat we had two separate tables so we brought it to their attention that our group would like to be seated together as it was a family gathering. We were then moved to a separate room and sat, the waiter had an extreme attitude and made it difficult when we told her that we were ready to order because we couldn’t order our main plates and starters.
Once she returned to take our order she had a military style. She was wanted answers right away and got irritated when someone didn’t answer quickly.
I ordered the Cattleman’s prime rib cooked medium rare. When I received my plate the meat was almost gray in color and was not medium, the meat was also dry. I tried to eat it as best as I could but decided to not continue the attempt. When the waiter returned she asked if we would be needing to go plates I responded no and she gave me an ugly look.
The next issue arose when she was taking note of who would be paying together. We were asked several times to confirm the information. One of the people in my group paid with tap, when he paid he decided against leaving a tip due to her attitude the entire time we were there and the waiter then called him back and asked “you not going to tip?” Then another party in our group was handed an incorrect receipt with a different amount, when he brought it to her attention she told him that was his and that she was not going to argue with him and continued to speak negatively to the rest of the group this the resulted in us having to ask for a manager. When the manager arrived we were informed that there was an unpaid check, we had all paid and showed him that we had all been charged. The only issue was that a recipe showed a different amount and he would not sign it as that was also not his card information. He then returned and advised us that was correct and apologized for the mistake. Our party attempted to be super cordial with her but made it difficult with her attitude

The restaurant had a nice environment and was clean. Our server seemed uninterested in making sure we had everything we needed and refills (Sat through meal with empty glass) the only time she bothered doing something fast was when our check was due and we asked for it. The food was not good, I ordered the prime rib and was told they were sold out (understandable) then switched to a 12 oz ribeye, my son had the grilled pork chops and our meats are so salty and over seasoned, the steak bites my daughter ordered had same issue and the sirloin another daughter ordered was also over seasoned. We orders onion strings and they were disgustingly greasy (I’ve ordered them at other salt grass before and it wasn’t like this greasy) I can taste the oil. This Salt Grass has to be the worst one I’ve ever eaten at.

It was a packed house, but DON, our server, was still the absolute best. There was a long wait time, but we expected that for Fathers Day weekend in a busy area. We traveled from Fresno to meet some family at this location, and the drive was well worth it. My steak was stellar just as I ordered. Medium well. The food didn’t take long to come even with the number of people visiting. Ask for DON when you visit this location. We will definitely be back here again.

I love Saltgrass Steakhouse’s participation in Houston Restaurant Week. The menu offered a great opportunity to try a wide selection of options. I recently returned to this location to enjoy their amazing cesaer salad, ribeye steak, partnered with the bake potato. I didn’t have enough room to try the dessert menu which is a reason to go back.

Great food, great service, really nice atmosphere. Love the fried string onion rings with just a hint of sweetness. Had the grilled salmon with a baked potato. Nicely grilled with tasty seasoning. Wife had beef tenderloin bites with mushrooms and onions and said it was just enough even though it was an appetizer. Others eating with us enjoyed their meals too.

As a family of 6 we went December 23rd, for a birthday celebration for my teen. I made reservations online and our table was ready upon arrival. Veronica, our server, was very courteous and attentive without being overbearing. The whole party agreed that the Brussels sprouts and fried were the best items. The steaks, chicken tenders, and ribs lacked seasoning, however, they were cooked to the requested temperatures. This is our go to location, but the food just wasn’t seasoned to our liking.
