Let me be honest. The food was great, no doubt on it. There was confusion in the order and it took a long time for us to get our food. Finally we got our food. One humble request please take care of the customers. There were some senior customers who were waiting for the food for a long time. I gave 5 stars for the only reason there is room for improvement.

We arrived around 4 pm it was not busy at all! Several wait staff looked at us but did not acknowledge us until a heavy set older guy asked if we had been helped, and I said no, so he looked down the whole time and never said anything even when he seated us. Shortly after, a waitress named Caitlin came, and she waited on us. She was great. The steak were very thin cuts of meat and had a large ball of butter on it, which i did not like. And the bread was just ok. I don’t think we will return. The management was ridiculous he is very unhappy.

This is probably the second time we have been since Salt grass opened in Tyler. Service was great and staff was friendly. Wasn’t just overly impressed with the steak. It was cooked liked I asked, which was medium rare. It was the stand juicy. It lacked in flavor. Not much spice to it. Sort of blend. Needing a kick to it Salt, pepper, just more spice. The bread was very dry and just not for me.

Gosh! We haven’t been to salt grass in over 15 years. What a wonderful experience! It changed a lot but our server was totally Amazing Davia! She is kind, professional and on point with everything! The food was fresh, hot and delicious! Great queso brisket appetizer, salad fresh, ribeye excellent and the Parmesan crusted fish amazing! Dessert cheesecake GREAT!

I personally think that Salt Grass makes the best steaks in town. The Mac and Cheese and dinner salad are pretty great too. Service is always prompt, the staff is always on top of drinks and the needs of the table. One of my favorite places to eat!
