We had the most incredible experience at Saltgrass Steak House for my birthday dinner, and I truly cannot say enough good things.
Our server, Madison, went above and beyond in every possible way. From the moment we sat down, she made sure my birthday dinner exceeded all expectations. She was attentive, kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our night special.
The food was absolutely perfect. Our steaks were cooked exactly as ordered, full of flavor, and clearly prepared with care. The salads were fresh and crisp—and I have to say it: the ranch is hands-down the best ranch in Texas.
Before and throughout dinner, Britnie took incredible care of us at the bar, serving perfectly crafted drinks that were balanced, consistent, and delicious every time.
What truly set this experience apart, though, was the personal touch. The entire wait staff signed a birthday card for me, which was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture. That alone speaks volumes about the culture, teamwork, and genuine hospitality at this location.
While other steakhouses may be more convenient, if you want refined, fresh food and to truly feel taken care of, it is absolutely worth going the extra mile (or two) to dine here.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Saltgrass Steak House as they were one of the few places open during the recent ice storm and the experience exceeded my expectations from start to finish. Haley, the bartender was outstanding — she was attentive, friendly, and clearly knowledgeable about their drink menu. I was so cold a requested a hot toddy (not probably a common option) my cocktail was perfectly balanced and crafted with care, and I appreciated how quickly I was served even during such a busy time.
The food was just as impressive. My steak was cooked exactly to order — tender, flavorful, and seasoned beautifully. You can truly taste the quality in every bite. The sides were fresh and generous in portion size, and everything arrived hot and well-presented. The bread alone is worth mentioning — warm, soft, and the perfect start to the meal.
What really stood out was the overall hospitality. The staff checked in consistently without being intrusive and made sure our table had everything we needed. The atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, making it a great spot for both a casual dinner and a night out at the bar.

Another fantastic dinner at Saltgrass Steak House in Rockwall tonight! We’ve been coming here for years and have honestly never had a bad meal—the everything is consistently cooked to perfection, the sides are spot-on.
Our server, Caylea, truly stood out and elevated the entire experience. She was hands-down the best server we’ve had at any Saltgrass location. Polite, genuinely warm, and attentive without ever hovering—she anticipated what we needed and made everything feel effortless and enjoyable. Her great attitude turned a solid meal into an outstanding one.

Overall we will give 3 star rating, its okay rating. Long waiting time on table side 45 minutes to 1 hour, We dont know is it because of the items we ordered. Tables are very close. Not enough room. Staffs are okay. Atmosphere is good, but loud and crowded. Food is average.

Just had my last bad steak at Salt Grass steakhouse in Rockwall, Texas. Paid approximately $40.00 for a 16 oz Ribeye. How could I go wrong???? I don’t know if I am even capable of picking a ribeye steak in a grocery store, Walmart included, with the amount of gristle I found in this steak. Even the fat cap was chewy to the point of not enjoying the steak at all. It was cooked great but the gristle was unbelievable. I left well over half of the steak on the plate and did not want it put in the take home box with my wife’s filet. This should have tipped off the waiter but no questions were asked. You can’t take home a steak like that and expect it to be better when you heat it up at home. So needless to say, Salt grass will never be a selection the me or my family will ever make again. I previously stated, I can get a better ribeye steak at Walmart for a lot less than I just paid. This ribeye was way below the SELECT grade of meat. Salt grass brags about CHOICE and PRIME but this steak was obviously absent when the meat grading was done.

She went above and beyond in every way! Attentive without hovering, kind, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely cared that we had a great experience. Our drinks were always full, the food came out hot and perfectly cooked, and every recommendation she made was spot on. You can tell she takes pride in her work and truly values her customers. It’s rare these days to find service that feels both professional and heartfelt, but she absolutely delivered. If you’re dining here, I highly recommend asking for her! She’s the kind of server that turns a good meal into a great memory. We’ll definitely be back!

We had the absolute best experience at Saltgrass in Rockwall on Sunday! Nadia was our server and she was truly amazing. She was so sweet, attentive, and incredibly personable from start to finish. She made us feel welcomed and taken care of the entire time. Our drinks stayed full, our food came out perfectly, and she checked on us just the right amount without ever being overbearing.
Nadia’s positive attitude and genuine kindness made our whole experience so enjoyable. You can tell she truly cares about her guests. We’ll definitely be back and will be asking for her again!

Food was absolutely amazing and the service was phenomenal. Went there for my dad’s birthday and our amazing server Maddy was very attentive and wrote “happy birthday” on our plate! She also gave a candle and lit it for us. 10/10 would be absolutely coming here again
