This one did.
SaltGrass gave us the kind of lunch that makes you stop for a second, take a breath, and appreciate the moment you’re in.
My wife and I both ordered their 12 oz. Ribeye with Oscar topping, and let me tell you — SaltGrass knows what they’re doing.
My steak came out rare, exactly the way I like it—warm, red center, tender all the way through. Hers was medium-rare leaning rare, cooked with absolute precision.
The Ribeye itself was a thick, beautifully marbled cut, seared perfectly with that signature SaltGrass char. The juices were glistening before the first bite, and when I took it… that was it. Buttery, tender, melt-in-your-mouth perfection.
And the Oscar topping?
Real crab, silky cream sauce, a touch of green onion — it didn’t just add to the steak, it elevated it. Every bite was one of those eyes-close, savor-the-moment experiences.
I went with the fully-loaded baked potato — the classic done right.
She chose the mashed potatoes — creamy, warm, and seasoned with the kind of comfort you only find in a good Texas kitchen.
And of course… Tito’s Texas Tea.
If Texas ever put its personality in a glass, this is what it would taste like — smooth, bold, cold, refreshing, and a little dangerous in the best way. We enjoyed every sip.
The atmosphere felt like home — Texas stars, warm wood, good people laughing, great food coming out hot and fresh. No rush, no stress. Just good energy and good plates.
SaltGrass doesn’t just serve food.
They serve moments — the kind you talk about later because they leave a mark.
If you’re debating on going…
Stop debating.
Go. You’ll thank yourself later.
Food: -2 stars. This rating was nice, and any restaurant that can’t cook Mac and Cheese that is home made should be rated 1 star. Clearly this is Kraft Mac and Cheese and is a complete joke. My steak was the equivalent of a flank steak and was no where close to medium with consistency. Pretty sorry steak.
Atmosphere: They had the NFL playoffs on and it was half empty so I can’t really ding them in this category.
