Kayla was an excellent server! Came here on 2/21/26 from Destin, FL, and she was very attentive and gave great recommendations as it was our first time at this restaurant. We started out with fried mushrooms, and the serving size was big enough for four people. The ranch that goes with it was so good!
We also got a house salad with ranch.
For our entrée, we split the prime rib and it was perfectly cooked-came with au ju and mild horseradish sauce. The brussels sprouts were amazing, sweet and spicy! We also ordered the sweet potato fries, which I hate to say were pretty bland. It didn’t taste like there was salt or any seasoning on them.
We took a big slice of carrot cake back to the hotel with us-also delicious!
Next time we are in Hoover we will visit again!

This was my first visit to Saltgrass. The service was awesome. All servers should be as friendly and helpful as Angelika. She checked on me frequently and made sure everything was cooked to my satisfaction. The salad was crisp and fresh. The potato was cooked to perfection. The 9-oz ‘filet’ was cooked to a perfect medium. It tasted more like a sirloin to me but that didn’t stop me from eating every morsel. I did talk to the manager just to satisfy my curiosity about how the different cuts of meat were stored in the kitchen. She was most helpful. I’ll have no problem eating there again. Thanks y’all.

I eat here a lot. The staff is fantastic. I particularly like Todd he’s always super professional and kind. The food is consistently good. The wait is very rarely bad on reasonable days. I’ve got the card so full disclosure I’ve drank the kool-aid but this place is solid. Ribeye, Brussels, caesar salad, and fried mushrooms you won’t regret it.

Drinks remained empty over an hour and half spent at this location. Ordered potato soup to be told 40 minutes later they are out. So, I ordered spinach artichoke dip with chips, 50 minutes later, the order never arrived. They are not attentive at this location. Two stars are only for ambiance.

We have passed this restaurant many times but this was our first opportunity to try it with some good friends of ours. I made a reservation through Open table but honestly it wasn’t necessary. Our waiter Patrick was great and made our first experience outstanding. He kept our drinks full and brought our food out quickly. The bread kept us busy until the entrées arrived. The salmon with a side of asparagus was good along with the cheese burger with a side of sweet potato fries. The ribs were good too but they should provide wet naps because it was quite messy. Patrick brought us some damp cloth napkins which helped with the sticky fingers. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.

We were a party of six. One had the ribd, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Four had a variety of steaks which were cooked to perfection. I had Laredo chicken which was absolutely delicious. It had a lot of flavor and I really enjoyed it. Our server was a delight. She was courteous, witty, friendly, and attentive. I’d go back for the service alone. The place is decorated in a rodeo cowboy theme which was fun.
