Not a gigantic store but surely have constant huge crowd throughout the day. The service was always speedy though regardless the business and I always love the idea of being able to sample the flavors before placing my order.
My options are typically splurging over the gigantic multi-flavored scoops or even simple single scoop treat but going for 2 flavors. The portion is always super generous but worth the calories spent.
My top flavor picks will certainly be their Salted Malted Choc Chip Cookie Dough, Choc Gooey Brownie, and Peanut Butter Brittle. Nonetheless, most of their seasonal menus are also always available inventive!
Parking in the area is quite convenient — there are public parking garages nearby where the first 90 minutes are free, and it’s only a few dollars per hour after that. Street parking is available too, though a bit trickier and metered depending on the time of day.
You can get a treat for your pup and your kid for a different price than scoops for adults. The sprinkles are super vibrant in color.
You’re welcome to try as many flavors as you’d like and the place smells like waffle cones freshly made.
At the Culver City location, they have plenty of seating areas outside. Take your sweet treat to the steps and enjoy the view of the famous Culver Hotel.
They have standard flavors like coffee nuts, which was my favorite, and not very sweet, but a bit too salty. The strawberry balsamic sounded good, but was overly sweet. The caramel was too salty.
They do make a thick, creamy ice cream. It’s great if you like “interesting” flavors, like chocolate covered crickets or black pepper, and lots of salt. There was a very long line. But I prefer more traditionally balanced flavors.
Plethora of different and delicious flavors.. some of which sound a little off but don’t shy away from tasting them. Superb and super friendly staff, especially Michael!!
Cinnamon is sooo aromatic and refreshing! Honey Lavender is different but worth giving it a try!
I asked to try the pineapple upside down flavor, and she made a miserable face and went over and scooped a tiny spoonful.
She handed it to me, I tried it, looked her in the eye, said thank you, she just returned a blanke stare.. so naturally, I spun on my toe and walked right out of there.
I am not sure if this person‘s demeanor was due to me and/or any of my characteristics: single, tall, white-presenting male — or if they were just having a lousy day — or if they’re generally like this, or if there are some gaps in salt and straws, employee training program… No idea. What I do know, is that their demeanor totally killed my appetite for ice cream, and my desire to patronize salt and straw ever again. RIP Rite Aid.
The experience was actually so bad, that I feel the need to take a shower — which I will do before I go over to Rose and Saffron ice cream on Westwood Boulevard, assuming my desire for ice cream returns tonight.
Wishing the unhappy-presenting person and their employer, all the best!
Chocolate almond gold flavour = delicious
Strawberry & coconut water sherbet = WHO THE HECK PICKS THIS ! Why do I always pick whacky stuff? Do not ever get ice-cream thats Vegan unless you have allergy… it was painful to have and I didn’t finish it too.
Hamza – just be normal next time lol.
Great stop. Parking a bit of a nightmare but in evening it’s free in surrounding places
Thank you for always making our experiences here so wonderful.
