This was our first experience at Salt Stonery & Chophouse. We loved it! The concept is that you order your cut of steak and it comes out on a heated stone that allows your steak to become the perfect temperature. The seasonings and sauces were great additions to the steak. We will definitely be back.

Off night, to say the least, A/C and POS system were not working.
The staff made the most of it! Very friendly and attentive staff.
Had the steak, salmon, and scallops on the black lava stone. Both dishes included salad and truffle fries, though there was no hint of truffle oil.
Awesome concept! Unfortunately, they only had 4 scallops, so we added the salmon, really wanted a full order of scallops, and the 4 we were served were very small. Salads were fresh and tasty. The 3 sauces we very good.
The atmosphere of the entire restaurant was less than expected as we have visited other SALT and REEL locations that seemed more upscale and were more relaxing, didn’t expect booths and, well, a pizza joint feel.
Tough situation that night, so we will give them another try.

I heard about them on Radio while I was driving one day about month ago and decided to give it a shot . The interior infrastructure is decent , not too much going on its pretty darn simple .
When we got the menu everything changed !!!
First off all the quantity and the setup of menu is amazing. I mean they have WAGYU BEEF and TOMAHAWKS and I was surprised to see that . As simple as their sitting and interior is , their food is pretty EXPENSIVE but its those kind of places where you pay for QUALITY OF FOOD . Their FOOD IS AMAZING ! I mean everything is DELICIOUS ! The QUALITY OF MEAT , The WAY OF SERVING , THE DRINKS , I mean I guess its worth paying that . You go there for an AMAZING EXPERIENCE OF FINE DINING ! Overall good experience , the staff is very friendly . Would defiantly go there for amazing meat and amazing style of cooking and serving .
I definitely recommend their Wagyu Burger with a glass of Johnny Walker Black label to wash it down .

Overall we had a good experience here! The service was prompt and friendly, food was great, and the drinks we ordered were delicious. One downside is that we felt the table we were put at was crowded. Since it was two of us we were put at a small table, and with both boards and two drinks we felt very cramped. When we go back we will definitely request a different table – but just a heads up to future diners!
We ordered the Wagyu and the Sirloin which came with the truffle fries and sauces. The truffle fries had alottt of truffle oil on them so if that isn’t your thing you may want to upgrade your sides. We also ordered the brown butter cake for dessert which was tasty.

In terms of steak places (or just restaurants in general), I’d say this is the best one that my Dad and I went to. The waitress and overall service was absolutely amazing and we were given a rundown of the menu along with recommendations. In terms of the food, my Dad and I ordered the Wagyu steak. While expensive, it was incredibly delicious. What was neat about it was that we could “cook” it ourselves with a certain rock tablet. Along with that, we had several sauces to come with it and several types of salts. I never thought a certain type of salt can affect a steak’s taste by a lot, but it does. Overall, the place was a blast to go to for something different in the area.

Amazing experience! My wife and I flew in from Hawaii to visit family and added Salt to our list of restaurants to go to. We love traveling and finding places with different experience and for Muscle Shoals this is a 5+ star for my wife and I. The appetizers are amazing and fit every type of food you may be looking for and adventurous, but the star of the show was the black stone! You cook your own steak, seafood, or veggies! Listen this is an experience that is truly amazing. You get a full slab of meat whether it’s ahi tuna or steak. The meat is phenomenal and not once was I disappointed. I’m from here originally and feel in love with this place immediately. I got to meet Katie and her Fiancée who are the owners and wow! Their passion shows from knowledge of the food, the drinks, and just their personality. Their are some awesome things “cooking” here (pun intended). My preference for an awesome meal is as follows:
Small bites – couscous with corn and pork belly or peach and basil burrata.

Main course – wagyu and porcini fries or sirloin and porcini fries both paired well worth the chimichuri sauce and roasted red pepper sauce. (When salt comes outs definitely taste all the flavors, but I enjoyed the fire salt on my steak)

Dessert – I don’t remember the name, but I promise you, just do it.

*Side Note – we ordered the ahi and tacos and they were amazing as well. I am personally a steak eater and love steak, but the fish and the tacos were just as amazing.

To the Salt restaurant family, y’all are amazing and I can’t wait til my next trip back to Muscle Shoals to try again.

My wife and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary today by eating here. I must say it is a very unique dining experience. We came early so we were the only patrons Our server was Abigail and the cook was James. They each deserve 6 stars. The food portions were very surprising as to how big they were, yet they weren’t TOO big. Salt has made my list of favorite restaurants and dining experiences, quite high on my list.

If you haven’t tried it you should. The food and service is excellent. They have a full curated menu so if you don’t feel like cooking you own meat they are happy to do it for you. Definitely will go back.

Loved the experience of cooking your own steak, steak was good but my meal needed more variety of condiments example no steak sauces, no shrimp cocktail sauce and no honey mustard or bacon bits. I did enjoy the experience though.

If you LOVE EXCEPTIONAL FOOD served by incredibly talented staff (Thank You Kylie;)! You will NOT want to miss a chance to eat at this relatively new REMARKABLE “HIDDEN GEM” of not JUST a GREAT MEAL, but an INTERACTIVE OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE like NOTHING we have ever experienced!!! We have lived in TX all of our life BUT sold our Houston home to FULLTIME TRAVEL COUNTRY IN A MOTORHOME!! One of our GREATEST JOYS is enjoying BRILLIANT restaurants all over USA (Think Las Vegas Strip restaurants with Chefs Gordan Ramsey… or Giada!)

Salt Restaurant is something we had moderate expectations for & the experience ABSOLUTELY BLEW OUR MINDS!!! The BRAINS behind the MAGIC Of this unusual steak house are owners Ken (Chef) & Katie (his incredible wife!)
I HONESTLY woke up this morning with a smile on my face thinking about the entire experience!! These are EXCEEDINGLY TALENTED FOODIES that I suspect will end up on Food Network some day! (YES… they are that BRILLIANT!)
IF You are EVER within 50 miles of Alabama reward yourself by visiting SALT RESTAURANT …. We can’t WAIT to return next time we have a hankering for a STUNNING steak with BRILLIANT Sides (our faves were: Butter poached radishes!! Seriously…. who thinks of poaching radishes?!?!!) & their sauces
