Such a cool spot, So much history and great atmosphere. Food was great and the service was top notch. So many great options on the menu. We had the carpaccio, bread basket and bean dip for appetizers, the steak sandwich, truffle pizza and the Tagliatelle. All were great. Our server was so personable and gave us great recommendations. The Manager Dave checked up on us and was also very nice. Amazing place to have busines dinners and large parties. We will definitely be back!

Perhaps one of our most favorite easy, go to locations in Salt Lake, salt and olive offers a vast menu, and surface expertise weather for formal dining or more in and out quick meals.

We’ve been here many times, and always appreciate their mock tails, cocktails, wine, pizza, salad, and of course pasta. The cute coffee shop up front also serves up during the daytime and has a phenomenal lineup of coffee and pastries. You also can’t go wrong with dessert.

I’ve been to Salt & Olive 3 times in the last 3 months and I will definitely be going back soon. I did the walk-in front dine in option in different groups of table for 1, 2 and 4.

I ordered the Paper Kite cocktail which is delicious. I’ve also had their spin on an Old Fashioned, I think they call it a Bold Fashioned, which is pretty good – if you like cinnamon.

Their Bucatini pasta is amazing, just incredible. I love breaking up the burrata into smaller pieces and mixing it in with the pasta/sauce. I’ve also had the Tortiglioni Verde pasta – almost as amazing. If you like olives though, you might find it’s the best pasta you’ve ever had.

The house bread is quite good, the butter is even better. I’ve been wanting to try the house olives, but it looks like a lot of olives for one person.

For dessert, I had the Zeoppole E Limone. I was so stuffed by this point, I could barely eat it. But the mascarpone citrus cream was definitely the best part. I could eat that as a fruit dip all day.

The staff is great, attentive but not hovery. I’ve actually had the same wait staff every time I’ve gone, and she’s been incredible. She has a really nice personable approach. I hope she’s there the next time I go!

If I could give this 100 stars I would!!
Salt & Olive team were wonderful! The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was open and inviting.
As walk in customers with no reservation we were sat within a few minutes and our food came out so quick!
I ordered the Lady Pleaser cocktail, one of the best I’ve had! We will be repeat customers!

Thank you for giving my husband and I a happy, memorable date night.

Went for the first time and it was definitely worth the hyper. Tons of gluten free options and the pizza was really good. The caprese salad was to die for. The drinks were tasty. Definitely recommend. We sat in the front room which was laid back and first come first serve. Table service.

OH MY LORD, this place is incredible! Easily one of the best pastas and pizzas I’ve ever had. Everything we ordered was absolutely divine, fresh, flavorful and cooked to perfection. Just delicious from start to finish.

The atmosphere was calm, cozy and really pleasant, perfect for a relaxed meal. While the service was a bit slow at first (it took a little while to be seated and get water), everything else made up for it. Once things got going, it was smooth sailing.

I truly loved this restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates amazing Italian food in a chill, welcoming setting.

Had an amazing dinner last night. We started with Beef Carpaccio. The presentation was beautiful. It was delicate yet full of flavor! Next we had Truffle Pizza. Truffle was whipped in the ricotta and spread generously on top. It was insanely good and creative. Our amazing server Kristin brought condensed balsamic vinegar to drizzle on top. It’s sweet and savory. Best pizza ever had! Afterwords we had their house made gelato. It was so creamy filled with espresso chocolate swirls. Yum ! What an incredible treat!

Went here for an after-work party for dinner and drinks and loved it! The have quite the menu, with a lot to choose from. Good thing is, all of it sounded really tasty. I ended up getting a blackberry ricotta mint pizza, which was placed in my top 5 pizzas of all time shortly after trying it! This is also saying something because I’m picky with my pizza (crust, consistency, cook, sauce to cheese ratio, etc.) I loved the unique flavors – they blended together extremely well.

The vibe was great! Clean, cozy, amazing service, and good for a big group (they put us in the back room). Would love to come back here on a date night with my wife!

We had an excellent dining experience at Salt and Olive in Salt Lake City. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. Kristie was amazing, patient, attentive, and gave us a warm welcome. She took the time to guide us through the menu, helping us choose dishes that suited everyone at the table.

For food, we ordered a half Insalata salad, a truffle pizza (without prosciutto), a carne asada pizza, and a tuna salad to share among the three of us. I personally ordered the tuna salad, and it was absolutely sumptuous, fresh, flavorful, and very satisfying. The truffle pizza was rich and aromatic, and I was told great things about the carne asada pizza, which was enjoyed thoroughly by others at the table. The half Insalata salad also received great feedback for its freshness and balance.

The atmosphere at Salt and Olive is vibrant yet relaxed, making it a perfect spot to enjoy good food and conversation. Between the inviting vibe, delicious food, and genuinely warm service, this place really stands out. Absolutely recommend if you’re in Salt Lake City and looking for a memorable meal.

I very rarely leave bad reviews. The restaurant’s concept and interior are excellent! The waiter was very friendly. But… the pizzas were completely inedible, as if instead of sauce they had poured liquid white porridge on them. Both pizzas were like that. At first we thought the pizzas were undercooked, but it seems it was some kind of inedible sauce or something similar. The coffee was a separate horror! At first we were unpleasantly surprised by the high price for coffee – $8. But when, instead of a mocha, I was given hot water with only a faint hint of something resembling cocoa, it completely ruined our breakfast and our mood.
