A relatively new spot in downtown Lincoln. They have a small food menu but everything I’ve had over my last two visits has been excellent. The beer here is some of the best local brews you can get in Lincoln. Give this relatively unknown spot a try!

Happy Find! Enjoyed the beer and the staff was great! The food was BOMB!! A little unknown fact (learned it from a local) Get the Cajun Philly w/ Beer Cheese! No disappointment here. Very inviting seating inside or out. Prices were very reasonable.

I’ve always enjoyed my time at Salt Mine City. Their beers, food, service, and atmosphere have all been phenomenal. Recently, we hosted a wedding reception of about 100 people in one of the side rooms. Marty and the staff were incredibly accommodating to our requests and really great to work with. Our guests enjoyed the food and the drink selections, noting the beers and specialty drinks made the night more fun than a regular wedding reception. I couldn’t recommend Salt Mine City enough as a place to go for a drink, have dinner, or host an event.

From the moment we walked in on a Monday afternoon on hunch, we are greeted warmly by a very personable bartender. One of his recommendations from the beer to the food were great, You spoke to him a little bit and he was very kind. My wife got the peanut butter burger, which is really good and I got the turkey melt, which was also really good but the highlight for me by far was the beer- this is a high recommend-

Ordered the spinach and artichoke dip as an app and a burger that was one of their specials. We waited 35 minutes to receive what we hoped was our appetizer but it turned out to be our burger. The waitress informed us that our bread for our appetizer was burned and they needed to remake it. My wife and I split the burger which was pretty good and the fries which were cold to the touch. A few minutes later we finally received the appetizer we ordered. A 1/3 of the bread we were given was still burnt. I’m not one for complaining but if your appetizer comes out after your food and 40 minutes after you order it, you shouldn’t have to pay for it. Honestly would have been okay without it because it was subpar at best.
The sad thing is there were only about 5 other tables there at the time. The amount of time we waited for our drinks and our food was insane for a restaurant that didn’t have much business.

Great place in a convenient location in the Haymarket district. I’ll be back in to try the food, but the 5 beers I had were all excellent. Staff were very friendly and conversational. Definitely a comfortable environment to enjoy some delicious beers.

Really nice place. Fantastic to spend an evening and watch sports. Had the turkey melt with cheese lettuce mayo and alfalfa sprouts. The sandwich was great and the fries were amazing. Went on a not very busy night so the atmosphere was nice.

We stopped by on a beautiful evening wanting to try something new! Got the Super Molly (Hefe) and Heavy Hammer (Scottish Ale), and both were delicious. They also let us sample some “Veggie Vodka”, an eponymous house infusion we spotted in the back corner, and it was tasty too. Might try in in cocktails.

Great selection of beers from local Nebraskans. They have food! The Cuban sandwich is one of the best sandwiches in town. The Philly is also really good and they have a kids menu.
The heavy hammer Scottish ale is one of the best I’ve had and I’ve been drinking them for over 20 years. Great brewery. Good vibes. Great service. Even better beer. Get in here!
