Great sit down restaurant in Owingsville KY! All of the food was delicious, we had Hot brown bites, deviled eggs with pulled pork, and Brussel sprouts as appetizers…all were must try items!
Dinner was open faced turkey, meatloaf, and Chicken salad croissant. Everyone enjoyed the entrées, hubby said the gravy on the turkey was delicious and the chicken salad and slaw on the side was Grandma approved(she is 98!) My meatloaf, loaded mashed potatoes and green beans were excellent. We were full and happy! It’s a new establishment and I have 1 suggestion, serve Ale8 products and they will do better in this small town. They serve Pepsi products. I hope they stick around!

My family and I eat here all the time, and it’s become one of our favorite spots in town. Everything on the menu is amazing, but the pulled pork sandwich, deviled eggs, Brussels sprouts, and French toast are absolute standouts. I also order lunch from here for delivery at work pretty often, and it’s always fresh, delicious, and consistent.
Willa calls it “the green place” because of the green door, and her tradition is to stick her tongue out at Chef Sean — which is her way of showing she likes him! Chef Sean and his crew are fantastic. They work hard, they’re friendly, and it really shows in the quality of their food and service.
We’re lucky to have a place like this in our small town, and I truly hope their business continues to thrive. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out!

Salt Mine is our favorite place to go as a family. The food never disappoints and the atmosphere is always welcoming. Chef Sean is one in a million and always makes us feel welcome. Amazing staff and just a great place all around. You will definitely not be disappointed by your experience here from the hot brown to the Sunday buffet, you will always find the best food at Salt Mine Cafe of Owingsville.

I came here out of town with a friend of mine to visit a few other friends. We all came here to eat in the afternoon and had a wonderful time. Service was amazing along with their delicious food. Give the Brussels sprouts a try, they will blow your mind!

Really good food here, you can tell the chef really cares about the quality and flavor of his dishes. The balsamic vinager Parmesan brussels sprout appetizer is a must try. Going to have to eat here every time I visit my friends now.

Great little spot. Good food! I had the open faced turkey, and a piece of chocolate cake. Everything was perfect. And the sweet tea is made just right in my opinion. There is a small dining area in the front and what seems to be a little venue with tables in the back. They have music here every other Saturday. The Chef is really nice. I would have given a perfect rating but the Chef only has one person helping him and waiting tables. If this place were to all of a sudden get really busy they’d be in the weeds quick. Other than that, this place is fantastic! I’ve been waiting for this kind of place to open up and it definitely doesn’t disappoint. I’ll definitely be back!
