Friendly service, great location, and fresh, delicious food! The pasta is handmade in house, and the steak was so tender that you could cut it with a fork, as if it were butter! Melt in your mouth.. and the soy caramel glaze? Heavenly.

Bravo Salt & Tomato …it’s been a long time coming and it’s clear that you’ve put a great deal of thought into what to offer and how to present it.. in this small community you cannot be everything to everybody and there is always going to be plenty of chatter. As for me, my husband and I loved our experience . It was a dazzling, late afternoon on a Sunday so the river sparkled and the stylish, contemporary space was roomy and casually glamorous.. And… it is right here in our charming marina in rural SW WA.. for now, we are still a hidden gem.
We knew the food was served family style and even that has a special appeal .. Sharing food is refreshing ! The focaccia was golden and crisp outside and fluffy inside..7 decent sized yummy meatballs with red sauce made a perfect starter and the handmade kale pasta with a light lemony sauce and wild mushrooms was perfectly cooked, the bright crunch of microgreens on top was delightful . I would’ve liked a little more lemon but that’s just my preference..maybe some preserved lemon would elevate it a touch. Homemade honey gelato and tiramisu were glorious. I had a glass of red wine and it was a generous pour so even though it is a brewery you still have options. The staff is friendly and the service attentive without being pretentious. I want these guys to be successful in the food venture and they are worth traveling for, so turn into Cathlamet and make your way to the marina when you’re heading to the coast or back east toward I-5 ..You’ll remember it fondly and help our small local economy too.

Highly recommend Salt and Tomato Restaurant and River Mile 38 Brewing Co!! The food was so delicious, high quality, and locally produced!! The drinks are incredible! Great beer selection plus kombucha and root beer for non-drinkers!! The menu rotates every 7-8 weeks and everything we had was absolutely wonderful! Even the picky eaters enjoyed it!! If that was enough the views of the river are spectacular!! The restaurant is new and such a cool design!! If you are in the area definitely stop by!!

What a jem on the river! Had oysters, fococcia, and rigatoni tonight and all were delicious. It was a busy night and Christina and Sydney were on top of everything. Sydney went the extra mile to make sure we were happy. It’s just such a great atmosphere with top notch cuisine in a tight knit community where everyone becomes family.

What an INCREDIBLE spot! The environment is pleasantly comfortable, the staff are Incredibly attentive and friendly, and the view is captivating. But all of that is overshadowed by the INCREDIBLE food!! In my opinion the best in town multiple times over.
*Edit* I felt the need to add more to this review. I have gone multiple times now and am always astonished at the quality of each dish, and the ingredients that are used. As much local and organic ingredients as can be sourced, elegantly plated, and served incredibly promptly. The staff are incredible in every facet of their duties and I always leave feeling warm and fuzzy (not just from the food!).

Recently Deb and I had company from out of town and we decided to dine in at Salt and Tomato. Not knowing what to expect we were all very pleased to find the food just excellently prepared and served. What a gem we have found here in Cathlamet. We will be back with more friends and family.

Kudos to Chef Kat and the staff at S&T! Excellent service and the food was amazing. Great choice of craft beers too. Looking forward to outdoor dining when the weather warms up.
