Always love coming to this place when we are on the Eastern Shore. Everything we’ve tried has been amazing. I particularly enjoyed the fried chicken with sweet potato fries! My neighbor loves the BLT. It has a nice heap of bacon on it. And my kiddo declared “this is the best burger I’ve ever had” today. Cant recommend this place enough!

Decided to try this place while in Cape Charles and was very pleased. Lots of different menu items….salads, sandwiches, burgers. I went with the cheeseburger and sweet potato waffle fries. Cooked to order and one of the best burgers I’ve eaten. Friend had a huge salad. All very fresh and homemade. Next time try this place when you are looking for friendly place with great food.

Our first time visiting here since it opened. Make sure you have at least an hour to wait for your food before you go. I also do not recommend the cheese steak. The taste was ok, but see the portions in my photos. About 50% of my untoasted sub was empty. Everything else our group got seemed to be pretty good. The burger patties are pretty big. Now for the service, I don’t like to be negative, but something needs to change there. The server was just standing around talking, and more than once, we had to go ask for refills at the counter. There aren’t many options for family restaurants in Cape Charles, so we may possibly give this another try next year when we return. We visited June 6 around 1pm.

My husband and I enjoyed an early dinner on a Saturday. Our waitress was so friendly. Our dinners were delicious. The crab cakes were wonderful. The coleslaw was so fresh. Sweet potato fries were very tasty. My husband had the special of flounder which was lightly breaded and really good. The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. We will definitely be back!

Visited this restaurant on last Sunday evening in my goodness the food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! 10 OUT OF 10, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! The atmosphere was wonderful, being seated the time it took to get your food… I mean everything was glorious! And as awesome as the food was, it did not top the service that we received from a lady named Hunter Bishop! She was incredible!! Thank you Salt and Sand!!!

We are a family of 19 on vacation in Cape Charles and decided last minute to go to dinner after being on the beach all day. They were super friendly and accommodated us right away, quickly rearranging tables and chairs. The service was fantastic and the food was fresh, hot and delicious. We had everything from fried chicken to crab cakes and smothered chicken. Very unassuming little restaurant that delivered big flavor!

My guests were pleased! Family restaurant atmosphere. Staff friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed the Catch of the Day…Sea Trout (~3 filets) –fresh tasting, but only available fried. My sides were Greens… tender and seasoned nicely; and Mashed potatoes with gravy…also good. I would return to enjoy the fresh fish.

Walked in with a 19 person group including 3 toddlers. Sat down immediately after everything else was packed to the brim and it didn’t disappoint. The waitress was very attentive, no drink emptied without a refill immediately coming. Food came out hot and tasted amazing. Between all of us we ordered half the menu and not a complaint in sight. If you’re in a pinch stop in!

This is an amazing restaurant to go eat. Only issue we had, and it’s really not a complaint, was they were very busy when we arrived. So we seated ourselves and got our own menus. But, there was only a few folks waiting tables, but doing an amazing job. Everyone in my party said the food was amazing. They had lima beans and pickled beets as sides. Both were great. The Flounder I had was perfectly cooked and lightly breaded. Melted in my mouth! Nothing was was over or under seasoned. The hush puppies were on point! If your in Cape Charles for day visit, weekend get away, do not miss having a lunch or dinner at this gem of a family restaurant!
