I’ve been coming for 3 years. Best true Mexican food around. The birria is phenomenal, tacos are always super fresh tasting. Street corn cannot get better. Churros are the best I’ve ever had by a mile. Al pastor is flavorful, the ground beef is miles better than anything I’ve had, barbacoa will make u never want it from anywhere else. Customer service is excellent, always very happy and friendly staff, and fast turn around even with a ton of orders in the queue. Anytime I or my girl get the thought of Salsa’s in our mind, it’s over because we end up there that day. Already thinking about going back for my 100th time

Had some time to kill, so what’s better than an impromptu daddy-daughter date?

We stopped into Salsa 4 on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington. Came for the carne, stayed for the charm, and left with a cheese coma and a newfound appreciation for piñata décor.

Cool little spot with Latin percussion music playing through the speakers and the smell of freshly grilled meats and peppers hanging in the air. Honestly, it felt like the start of a great culinary adventure, it hits all the senses. Before that beautiful burrito bowl even landed in front of me, my mouth was already watering.

Enter: the asada burrito bowl. Freshly grilled steak, black beans, white rice, fresh pico, and a heaping mound of Monterey Jack. A killer combo of textures and flavors.

Definitely left full and already planning my next trip back.

It’s cute, quaint, quick, and colorful, just the way I like it.

Salsas 4 Taqueria on the Berlin Turnpike is pretty good. Friendly enough service and the food came out fast. Tacos are decently filled and taste freshly made. They are a bit sloppy, soupy to eat..but they taste good. Al pastor taco definitely the best one. Shrimp taco with mango was really good also. Shredded beef taco is better than the short rib taco. Flan was ok, good flavor but a bit too solid on the texture. Overall good dinner experience here.

This place is PHENOMENAL. Perfect for a lunch break or a quick bite to eat if passing thru town. The burritos are packed tightly and chilled until golden brown on the outside, locking in all the flavors and juices for your first bite!

Chips are on the house. Don’t forget your classic drink.

I will absolutely be going back to this establishment perhaps every week.

Friday evening, the wife was in the mood for Tacos, and I did not want to go to the Mexican restaurants we usually go to – not that they are bad, but I wanted to try something different. We wanted authentic Mexican tacos. After a Google search, we decided to go here, to “Salsas 4 Taqueria” for dinner. We were going to eat there at the restaurant, but it was like a sauna inside. Seriously need to get/fix Air Conditioning not only for customers, but your staff is going to overheat in there. That is really the only bad thing… That, and they sell Coke A Cola products, which I’m not a fan of.
The staff was friendly and greeted us promptly, answering our questions in regards to the menu.
After ordering, we were told the food would be ready if a little bit, to which I replied to take their time as I would rather have quality over speed.
The prices are reasonable. The food tasted very fresh. It would have probably been even better if we ate it there, but again, it was sooo hot inside. We had the tacos. I had 3 ground beef Taco Supremes and wife type individual had one Baja Fish and the other was a chicken taco.
The tacos came with a couple/few sauces that added to the flavor.
Fix the A/C and swap out the coke for something less political and you really have something there.
Overall, we liked this place and will be back.
Update (8/14/2021);
Returned here and tried the Philly Steak Burrito and it was very good. Staff was nice as usual…

I ordered a chorizo taco and one of their premium baha fish tacos. The tacos came packed with meat and fish. With the crunchy fried white fish and the sauce (such a great sauce but I have no idea what it was), the baha taco is definitely something that I’d get again.

After having the 2 tacos, I tried the carne asada empanada. Just look at the picture. They load up the already stuffed, crunchy, gluten free corn empanadas with all kinds of toppings. It is so nice that there is a place like this in CT. It was so good that I forgot about the salsa bar. Next time…

One odd thing was that both soft corn tacos came with only 1 tortilla each. In the photos online, and generally at most Mexican places, there are 2 tortillas per taco. Only noticed because they felt a little thing without that extra tortilla.

By far my favorite taco location in the Hartford area. Love the variety of tacos and burritos. Big standouts for are the Jr and Birra tacos. So much flavor and all at a good price! Really also liked the Philly Torta as well.,
