I live out of town and usually just travel through here without seeing much to eat that is quality but Salsa Grill showed up and we ate there and was impressed. Legitimate Mexican food, clean restaurant, great service and a little twist with the burritos that adds great flavor.

The food is very good!! I had the chicken flautas with rice and beans, I absolutely loved it. The chicken is seasoned perfectly and the tortillas nice and crispy. The only thing I would have changed is a side of sour cream and gringo style green dipping sauce made with tomatillos and green chilies. Otherwise it was almost perfect and the hostess was super friendly!! I highly recommend!

Food was more expensive than average but proportionally tastier.
The atmosphere was average. There were many Mexican somberos, drink signs and Mexican music playing. The decor was dated and simple but still in good condition. It was pretty clean and simple with a solid middle class look.
The service left us with a little more to be desired. The server was inattentive and forgotful but friendly. Perhaps she was new and needed more training? She repeatedly forgot what she did or didn’t bring to us and had to be reminded more than once.
Like I said initially though, the food was high quality and had generous portion sizes. They were accommodating for substitutions and additional ingredients as well. However they did skimp on the cheese and the meat was slightly overcooked. The fajitas, tacos, and enchiladas are all highly recommended after we ordered them this time. I had my eye on the wet burrito too and look forward to my next visit (to-go).

A small staff which did lead to some waiting, but they were plight and friendly.
The food was great, could not finish the portion of the dish was so big.
The atmosphere was calm and quiet for soft conversations. I enjoyed the meal!

I have lived in Payette for over five years and just stumbled across this place. The service is exceptional and the food is excellent, negating the need to drive to Ontario for a Mexican restaurant. I highly recommend it and encourage others to give it a shot at soothing that Mexican food and environment need.

We stopped in while we were out cruising the scenery. I ordered the Tamale and Taco Lunch Combo. I was not dissatisfied, but the food also didn’t have much flavor. The tamale was different and hard to eat. The filling was diced chicken mixed with a bunch of green chili’s, then topped with a red sauce. Even if I lived in the area, I wouldn’t be returning. -Regina

It’s more American than Mexican, $15 for a scoop of canned refried beans, a scoop of rice with no flavor and 2 American tacos? Hard shell tacos like fast food…….Worst $ I’ve spent in Payette. $32 for 2 plates worth $5 in food. They didn’t even try to give me a refund.
