Established in 2017. It began with Marisols Tacos approximately 28 years ago. Just an ordinary taco truck in El Monte, CA. 15 years later given the opportunity and potential for growth for the business I bring the name and great food to Orange County, now under direct ownership of Sal’s Tacos a la Mexicana with the same recipe with added plates. 5 years later our roots are growing in Orange County thanks to all you diverse customers that continue to support us.

Was excited to try this spot as I was looking for new lunch spots nearby. Signage and lights are on but doors were locked. If you call in there is a AI operator that was a bit frustrating. Oh well wasn’t meant to be.

Hands down best Mexican food spot in Santa Ana and OC! Their food is so flavorful, delicious and prepared with care! So happy they are back. While they were closed I tried a lot of other places but nothing compares to Sal’s! Come here ASAP!

You know that eating out It’s not just about eating or just about good food it’s about having a good experience with hospitality, cleanliness, and great food. And when, in some rare cases they can get all THREE RIGHT that’s when you truly have a wonderful experience. Great food with great people equals a great restaurant.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted and treated as if I was their #1 best customer in the world. The owner even came out to greet me and welcomed me AND MADE ME FEEL VALUED AND SPECIAL!
CLEANLINESS:
This restaurant was so clean that I didn’t fill disgusted when I went to the restroom and when I touch the chair and when I touch the table, I know that they take PRIDD in their cleanliness and makes me feel comfortable that the food is also made with pride and their KITCHEN kept CLEAN!
FOOD QUALITY:
REAL AUTHENTIC HORCHATA!
I usually never order Carne Asada because it’s never QUALITY MEAT. But here they were so adamant that I was going to like it that they gave me a Carne Asada MULITA on the house with my order and boy were they RIGHT it was DELICIOUS!REAL USDA QUALITY BEEF!

10/10 EASY!! Today was my first time trying Sal’s Tacos in Santa Ana, and it will not be my last! The restaurant is very clean, and the employees are very respectful and helpful.
Their cashier went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. She was very friendly, gave us samples of their horchata, and aguas and gave us food recommendations.
All of their aguas and horchata are made fresh in house.
The tacos and the bowl that we ordered were delicious, and their horchata and agua de sandia were super tasty and refreshing! I recommend going, this is my new favorite Mexican food spot!

Amazing Tacos! Their shrimp taco and sauce was so mouth watering, soft and crunchy. The chicken meat is super fresh and seasoned, the steak tacos are really good. The carrots and jalapenos are fresh. Their salsa has a nice kick to it, deff a must for spice lovers. I haven’t tried anything else but this is now my place to come to on Tuesdays for $1 tacos. The militias was amazing!!!!!
