We were in town for a hockey tournament and found Sal’s for lunch because it was close to our hotel… what a gem. The food subs were outstanding. Large portions. My kids love the pizza by the slice. They had plenty of options for all my picky eaters. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will most definitely be back before the end of the weekend. Highly recommend!

This place has food that tastes amazing. I had a cheese steak with bacon and pork roll . My only criticism is the amount of cheese steak meat that was on the sandwich. For the $ it should be more. But the taste was fantastic.

New place where we will stop for lunch or dinner every time we travel on NJ turnpike. With all the rest stops closed we needed an exit going north found Sal’s at exit 8A and it was so much better than anywhere we have stopped on this trip for the last 15 years!
So many great options…boys said their Cheesesteaks were great, we loved the grilled Rueben and the chicken parm. See photos. All were delicious.
The guys were super welcoming (helped us find what we wanted), bathroom clean, and had outdoor tables with umbrellas! All this a few minutes off the turnpike. Loved it!

This is the absolute BEST place for anything you could possibly want to eat!! From the omelets, to the cold sandwiches, to the hot subs, to the daily specials!!! I have never had a bad meal!! Outside of the good, you’re not going to find a more attentive and courteous staff!! From Sal, to Roger, to all the guys cooking the food…they all go over and beyond to make sure everyone is satisfied! If I could give 10 stars I would!!

I ordered the sausage Stromboli with a side of French fries and ranch dressing. Everything was delightful, all made from scratch (except the ranch) I first tought it was too much for myself but after couple of bites I knew I was going to finish it all since it was so good.
Staff is very friendly and accommodating. They immediately welcome me and offer a menu. As soon as I stated that I had called in an order, they immediately began to search for the receipt and proceed with the payment since my food was ready!
I recommend this restaurant for an Italian dinner experience!
