Great pizza, and reasonably priced. easy to order online, and order was ready fast. Reminds me of a little hole-in-the wall type pizza shop in New York City

I used to go to Sal’s 3 -4 years ago. At the time it could’ve used a total renovation of the restaurant area. Shopworn, rundown and unattractive. But that aside I went because the food was pretty good. Had a lot of nice pasta dishes. my friend would always order the calzone. I went in the other night with a different friend and either my tastes have changed or somethings wrong. It still needs a renovation. It’s still uninviting uncomfortable. There is nothing as far as cable service. You have to get to the counter and get napkins, menus whatever and even hand, you a lot of the food and drinks across the counter. So they have a menu. I wanted the white clams and linguine. I was told we only have red clams sauce. That to me doesn’t make sense. so I said I’ll take the red and that’s fine. Once it was presented, I never saw a restaurant that cut their linguine in half and then cook it that to me is a sacrilege. Obviously the person who is cooking doesn’t know how to cook. And the red flags keep coming once I tasted it it really wasn’t what I wanted but I hate as much as I could anyway and took most of it and a take out but the next day I threw it away. For me two beers ($4.00) and a plate of linguine with red clams (15.95) was way too much money.

The pizza and service was top notch. However, the haze in the air burnt our eyes. All 3 of us had a bad headache after we ate. I’m not sure if it was because of the dim lighting or because of the moke from the pizza ovens. Unfortunately, for that reason, we won’t go back.

Amazingly crispy crust with just the right amount of chewiness. Perfectly bright and flavorful sauce. Obviously fresh, quality toppings. The food was absolutely incredible here! The staff was very friendly and entertained our large group very well. We finished our meal with some amazing cannolis. Sal’s was the perfect ending to a really good day. We don’t live in the area, but given how wonderful our experience was, we may have to make frequent return trips to Siesta Key.

The prices for Italian food are really good. Most Italian places are way more expensive. The atmosphere isn’t upscale, but the food is what really matters – and they’re really good at that. They seem to pay close attention to getting it right. I usually get my food to go, and they’ve been easy to place orders with via the phone. All around, I definitely recommend this place. Give it a try.

Oh my heavens! This place was such an awesome find We stopped in for a late lunch while we were driving through town. I ordered the chicken parm sandwich and my boyfriend had the spaghetti and meatballs. First off, they baked the bread fresh for my sandwich when I ordered it. It was delicious!!! Oh, and the sauce… SO full of flavor. Our service was great too. We are definitely going back the next time we pass through.
