Best pizza place/ restaurant in NE PA! Wish it were closer for us. Always great food. Generous portions. Good service. When it’s busy it takes a while longer to get your food which is understandable. It is always worth the wait though.

Pizza was pretty good! We got two personal pizzas to share between myself and my boyfriend. Otherwise, we would’ve done 1/2 of each on a medium size pizza but the sauces were different types. Service was decent. I will say the pizza is kind of pricey but it was good.

Pizza tastes different than the last time we ordered. We don’t live close so we only order when we are in the area and usually look forward to it. If the recipe did change, the whole family noticed and everyone agrees that the pizza we got like 6 months or so back was better.

I visited this establishment for the first time with my 2 daughters. We ordered a large plain pie and while we were waiting for the pie, the owner, Luciano, made a small Margherita pie and gave my daughter and I a complimentary slice while we waited for our large pie. Luciano and staff were very friendly and I enjoyed talking with them about their restaurant and the history of the restaurant. The Pizza was amazing!! Great crispy crust, sweet savory sauce and plenty of cheese. Definitely one of the best I have had in the area. I will definitely return to try other menu items. Thanks Sal’s for a great first experience at your restaurant. I plan to come back soon and order some other menu items.

I have never felt the need to leave a review however this is the worst establishment I’ve ever gotten food from, not only did I walk in and receive the actual worst customer service ever received but they had the audacity to hassle me on the tip amount I had left for said horrid service. On top of all that I received a soggy crate of disgusting fries and the pizza tastes like it was made with gerber baby apple sauce, I cannot stress enough don’t eat here unless you want to be disappointed.

Hubby and I went here because I saw good reviews and was highly disappointed. Their chicken pot pie was canned chicken with potatoes, no flavor or mixed vegetables, the cheesesteak egg rolls had no onions/peppers and was served with marinara sauce they were burnt and fried open so the grease got in them. Fried mac bites tasted and looked like they were made with kraft mac and cheese. When the waitress asked how everything was (she did seem nice but short with responses) I expressed my disappointment with the soup, she said ok, took the cup and walked away. She did not give the courtesy of removing it from the bill or offering anything else or even asking why I didn’t like it. I didnt complain about the other food bc the waitress didn’t even seem to care. Once it was time to check out, I was upset when I saw that I just wasted $50 on food I didn’t enjoy one bit, I went up to pay and was asked how I enjoyed the food, I replied “it was ok”, I told her I was disappointed with the soupand why so she replied ” its called chicken pot pie soup BC its chicken with potatoes” I replied “I thought it would have mixed vegetables in it like a chicken pot pie but I guess I should have asked first”. She still didn’t offer to remove it from the bill but I paid the bill without farther debate, in which she really had the audacity to ask if I wanted to buy a store made cannoli, I politely declined even though I wanted to say I wasted enough money on nasty food. Anyway I was still going to tip but only 10%, the cashier decided to say “but minimum gratuity is 18%” Again to chose the nonconfrontational route and just gave the 18% but needless to say I would never go there again.

Sal’s Pizza is more than just pizza. It’s menu is full of your favorite Italian entrées. How do you know the food is good? All the tables and booths are occupied, and there’s a line of people waiting to be seated. We’ve been here several times, and we’ll keep coming back.
