This is a gem of a spot for pizza and Italian food! Don’t let the unassuming appearance fool you; this place is definitely worth a try. My husband and I came for a casual date night, but we were so impressed that we ordered take out for our kids a few days later so they could try it too. We loved everything we ordered, especially the garlic knots and pizza. We are thrilled to have an affordable food option that the whole family loves.

Sal’s is my “go to” pizza shop in South Windsor and has been for years. I grew up on Jersey & NY pizza and Sal’s from NY. I could stop here – but won’t 🙂 They sell slices and their Sicilian is like no other anywhere in CT that I have found. The crust is crispy , dough fluffy and sauce splendid! 2 thumbs up to Sal’s Pizza (because that’s all I have!).

I have been ordering from Sal’s for well over a year and loved it but recently the service and food has gone down to tubes. I have called ahead at 3:00 and ordered food to pick up at 4:30, when I got there they had not even started putting it together. I canceled the order and walked out. Yesterday I called ahead and ordered 4 slices of pie and was told it would be 5 minutes. 20 minutes later they were just putting it in the oven and because I complained about it not being ready again we got pie that I had to finish cooking at home. The dough was tough and tasteless. I will go to A1 Brick Oven tomorrow in Vernon from now on…..

It was my first time trying their pizza and was disappointed! I ordered chicken pizza and requested very little cheese. But they gave me one with a lot of cheeses, very hard, too chewy and the slices were unreasonably too large. The chicken wasn’t tasty at all. I will definitely not order from them again.
