Sal’s Pizza is a good spot to pick up a quick dinner. There are no places to eat indoors, and there are a couple of picnic tables outside. The indoor area is very clean, making us feel good about ordering from here! We got the Mediterranean pizza and a pasta with chicken. Each entree was about $20. Both entrees were large portions, and we both had enough for lunch the next day. It wasn’t the best food we’ve ever had, but it was nice to be able to get a fresh, quick meal. The front desk team member is very professional and made us feel welcomed on our first visit here. We’ll visit again and try more menu items.

This is a carry out pizza place. You can get a variety of crusts, but we usually go with the NY style and haven’t been disappointed. Crust is crisp and chewy- great to fold and chow down. Their sandwiches are surprisingly good- had the chicken Philly and we have ordered several times again with the same great flavors. We do run into issues when we pick up- they usually can’t find our order under our last name, but it’s not too much of a hardship to grant some patience.

Fantastic simply put, welcome to Chapel Hill this was my second time, first was opening weekend. Now I brought the family too and we did takeout: 2 large pies, tortellini and incredible Ceasars salads!
Phenomenal, thanks.

Excellent New York style pizza, I bought a pizza that I saw on the menu, the bacon chicken ranch, very good, quite decent amount of ingredients

After reading other reviews I was skeptical but my experience was great! Customer service was great and friendly.
Slice was bigger than my head and piping hot. I walked in and was out within a couple minutes which is something I greatly appreciate.

We live close so we have tried them at least 5 times maybe more. Since this basically a carry out location when your order is wrong or food is bad you have to drive back to Sal’s.They are consistent if nothing else.Threw away the salad and most of the pizza no more we are done with Sal’s

This may be the most mid pizza I’ve ever had. For 4.50 a slice I thought it would be at least semi ok. It was small and pretty flavorless.

Generous delicious salad (we had the Greek salad). Pizza is perfect. Lots of cheese, crispy yet chewy crust. Exactly what you want when you want pizza. Highly recommend. We sat at the picnic tables outside

Pasta was delicious (vodka sauce). Ordered takeout bc tarantinis was too busy to take orders. I think sal’s is just as good for cheaper!

Just had a terrible experience at this pizza joint. Walked in, first thing I saw was one of the two counter gals sitting on the floor just behind the counter, texting away on her phone. The other gal checked on my order and told me it would be another 5 minutes. Both gals continued to laugh, talk and not even look up from their phones. About 10 more minutes elapsed, with several customers coming in and leaving with their orders, including one gentleman who, about 5 minutes later, came back in with a pizza box and informed the counter gals that it was not his pizza. One of the gals took the box to the kitchen area, spoke with the pizza maker, then walked back upfront to say “Larry, here’s your order”. I said no way I was gonna accept a pizza that had already left the store, for just shy of 10 minutes, and then returned, due to their carelessness. I asked for a new pizza to be made, which I carefully watched being prepared. Apologies followed, but no offer to comp my order.
My advice to others…check the contents of your pizza box before leaving the store, because the store personnel certainly don’t.
My advice to Sal’s…prohibit personal phone use by your counter personnel. Hire professional, customer-oriented personnel, not young people who don’t give a damn. Take care of your customers, it’s the only reason you have this job.
