Got a gift certificate for Christmas. We’ve eaten there several times and always good. The certificate was only good for 2 months. We didn’t check till recently and the certificate was expired. Called to see what we could do if any thing. They said if you come eat today they will honor. Well no thanks enjoy your $75 tip and we will not return.

First off, try the house dressing on your salad, you can thank me later. The red wine sauce in my Frutti de Mare was fabulous, and the mussels, scallops and shrimp really soak up the flavors. Warm bread served with garlic oil. My wife loved her calzone and no dinner is complete with trying their tiramisu. Four of us had a wonderful meal and the check was only $100.

We came here for our Anniversary yesterday and it was an experience. The view is beautiful of the lake for sure! The food was decent. The employees were wonderful! Wearing a smile though the way the owner (wife) talked to them. I even smiled at the owner and she turned her head. That’s a shame and disrespectful in our book. She never came to talk to customers, just sat at a table. We will give this place a try again but I do not need to feel or see an owner with an attitude problem.

Visiting from out of town and ordered pizzas and salads to go. Online ordering was very clear and easy and the food was excellent. The large pizzas are huge and we had leftovers. One salad was big enough for a family of 4-5. Would highly recommend!

First time here and staff was very helpful and made good suggestion on what to order. I got the recommended dish Fettucine Modo Mio and it was so delicious. Hint of spice and good creamy sauce. Big portion as well and I’m glad so I could enjoy it a second time. Bread is also given as appetizer. Seating inside has a nice tranquil view of a lake in the back with lots of trees. Would definitely stop again when I’m in the area again. Wish I had a good Italian place like this in my area.

We have drove passed here for a very long time and finally stopped. We weren’t let down. The food, service, and atmosphere were just splendid. The portions were very big. The view over the lake took us off guard. Can’t wait to get back!

I’ve been eating at Sal’s for years. Its truly a gem here in East Texas and probably one of the best Italian restaurants around. The atmosphere is awesome and overlooks a lake. The food is phenomenal. I have never had a bad experience. I love chicken marsala and its probably one of the best I’ve had. Definitely a place you should try.

Our waitress was absolutely awesome, the food was impeccable. But when it came to paying, we split the check. The manager or whoever was the boss I would guess tried to split. Kept getting more and more agitated and lost her temper and slammed her fist on the bar and completely lost her stuff. Once our original waitress came up. She handled it great. 10/10 on the food and service except the end. Don’t plan on going back but if I do. Hopefully she learns.

Sal’s will definitely be our “go to” restaurant for Italian cuisine. Robust flavors with just the right seasoning captures by the chef. My wife and I had the combo dinner. Making a decision on which entre was the best still has us debating. To top off our meals we had the cheesecake and amaretto cheesecake – both were delicious. The restaurant was very clean and our waitress, Jay, was helpful and delightful. The entire experience was at a very reasonable price. If this review was helpful, please “like” it.

Wow surprisingly good Italian food in Henderson TX! Quaint little place that has a great view of Willow Lake. Quick & friendly service. Food was amazing – all entrees were good. LOTS of options on the menu – heavy and light. Put this place on your list if you are in the mood for quality Italian – highly recommend!
