Everything about this place is magical. Building with historical heritage, excelent food with ingredients sourced locally across Serbia, sesonal menu constructed with a feeling of nostalgia.
Service was exquisite, with couple courses served by main chef himself, which was additional, unexpected touch that we quite enjoyed. It’s our second time here, and we will come again, for sure.

Booking was a disasters, I had to call, then go to their site, then check mail then call again because they didn’t call me back as promised – surprise, beside me and my lady there were only one couple in whole restoran, but the kept me waiting for one extra hour – 1 star for booking.
Parking does not exist – in such places valet parking is a must! 1 star for parking.
No one meets us at the door – 1 star for greetings.
Decorations – excellent, 5 stars.
Table sits, location – 4 stats
Service – waiters dressed in suits but wearing sport shoes, one told us he will be our waiter then in the middle of the dinner he started servicing our table and the person who was a host at took his place. Also listening to them chatting and giggling doesn’t contribute to atmosphere. No one ever asks if we are ready for next dish or if we liked the dish, on the bright side waiters speak English, Serbian and Russian – 3 stars.
Food was excellent, we tried 5 dishes and all was perfect, 5+ to the chef.
Drinks bagged poor quality tea is inexcusable. Mocktail was too sweet despite we asked for no sugar – 2 stars
Price , it allows to eat almost alone after enjoy nutcracker ballet with matching interior and no smoke enjoying the food and your lady, but since they dare to charge money for horrible tea – 3 stars.
Overall a pure math 24 points for 8 criteria= 3 stars.
It’s ok place for a very special occasion.

Such an incredible experience on January 27th by Chef Ivan, Ivan and Sommelier Petar, from start to finish. We came as a non-smoking party of two at 2pm on Tuesday, and had the restaurant to ourselves. We had the 3-course winter tasting menu, with dessert added, and a lovely bottle of Rosé per recommendation. The atmosphere was incredibly inviting, the service attentive and thought put in to every detail. Chef Ivan served us the two entrees with humility and sincere passion for his craft. Each dish was presented with a postcard which we got to take home as a keepsake. Each ingredient highlighted a domestic ingrediant with intentional story telling through flavor and texture.

Salon 1905 is the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or when you’re celebrating something special. If you’re in Belgrade, I would absolutely recommend this place.
The interior design is insane — you literally feel like royalty while eating there. The staff is super nice and welcoming, and the food is just… WOW. The whole concept of learning about different dishes from around Serbia makes the experience even more special.
You can choose between a 5-course or 7-course menu. We went for the 5-course one and it was outstanding. The meat, the vegetable dish, the brioche bread — wow wow wow. Every plate was beautifully done and full of flavor.

This is a late review for a tasting menu I had late 2023. Beautiful building and amazing decor. Great service, and great wines.
Menu started with a couple of appetizers consisting of spicy cheese salad, pihtija and burek – all very tasty!
After that, we were served a range of different and unique dishes like “white kacamak”, popara, duvec, beans, sarma, meat and potatoes, teas, and different desserts.
Really happy with the visit and highly recommend it.
