Or forth stop on the New Haven tour, BUT we did Sally’s in Woburn, MA . Had the cop salad, it was just ‘okay’. To much lettuce and took little of EVERYTHING ELSE. There ‘MAY’ have been one slice of meat chopped up in it, but i don’t even think it was that much. Very disappointing.
Pizza: pizza was better than the salad. It was a bit burnt. I like New Haven, but this was taken out just a bit late. It was beyond crunchy on the edges. I did the Roni, onion, garlic. Not much garlic, Roni was good, Onions good. The Mrs did the garlic, Roni. I didn’t try it, but she said it was good. Looked okay.
Best so far – Zupperdi’s
Very close 2nd – Modern
3rd – Tie between Frank Pepe’s & Sally’s. And, NOT a close third.
I’ll redo with a New Haven visit to Sally’s.

Sally’s Apizza is a true hidden gem in Woburn. The pizza was absolutely perfect great crust, flavor, and balance. But the real surprise was the arancini. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. Definitely coming back and highly recommended.

Ordered a large cheese to go. Interior of the restaurant seemed nice, staff was friendly, parking was ok but probably limited during peek hours. Pizza was good New Haven style pizza, sauce was good, burnt edges, little floppy. Overall good pizza, not sure I would spend $25+ dollars again.

I went to Sallys Apizza first time with friends it came highly recommended. We had Victor as our server. Victor was super friendly and welcoming. He asked if we have ever been and for those who hadn’t he took the time to explain the different appetizers and pizza selections. We all got something different so we could try each others. I got the banana peppers and pepperoni and it was absolutely delicious. I tried the white pizza also. Victor checked in with us refilling drinks and making sure we had what we needed. We will definitely be back and hope to have Victor again

We ordered pizza and it was cold and burnt. The chicken parm with pasta had a lemon taste. The food wasn’t good. I do not recommend this place. We paid $12 for 3 mozzarella sticks that came with vodka sauce and had barely any flavor.

Tried Sally’s in Woburn for the first time and wow… 10/10. The fried mozzarella was perfectly crispy and paired with the creamiest vodka sauce. The white pizza was rich, flavorful, and had that perfect chewy crust they’re famous for. Absolutely worth the hype — I’ll definitely be back!
The only negative was the hostess was very cold and unbothered abs the manager proper up at the bar and was speaking negatively about her staff to the man beside me.

Our waiter was Victor and he was very good. He was patient, attentive, and just made it an enjoyable experience. We got the calamari which was very fresh and had great flavor. The Caesar Salad was enough for three of us to split. And we finished it off with a classic cheese pizza which was delicious. I highly recommend Sally’s , especially if you like New Haven style pizza

I am so unbelievably blown away by the service that we received today. Several of us hadn’t been, and let me tell you that Victor couldn’t have done anything more to make us feel welcomed and appreciated. He was super personable, clearly has a love for the pie, and had amazing recommendations with words to back it up. Everything we got was incredible. He was above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. I’ve never had this kind of service at a restaraut before. I cant thank him enough for making sure that we had a great time.

Had a great experience at Sally’s Apizza. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, and the drinks hit the spot. I ordered the New Haven Mozzarella & Tomato Sauce Pie, Italian-style wings, and Caesar salad. The wings and salad were both solid, and the pie had that classic char I was hoping for. I personally prefer a firmer slice—this one was a bit too floppy for my taste—but the flavor was still excellent. Definitely worth a visit!

Portnoy was right, 9.2 ALL DAY LONG! This location did not disappoint while not the original. By far the best pizza I’ve ever had. Went red sauce, pep and hot honey! Those giving low stars for the char or sauce level; sorry not sorry but you are wrong , this is exactly how Sally’s pizza is meant to be!!!
Meatballs were absolutely amazing as well, I wish I could have had more than the one price of garlic bread it came with. Will for sure include an order of garlic bread next time it was so good!
