The arancini was delicious, perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. I do wish it came with a little marinara on the side, but again, that’s just me being picky. And I’ll definitely ask for it next time as well.
The pizza was very very good. The sauce is delicious, the dough is fluffy, and the cup pepperoni….is the best pepperoni. Everything tasted high-quality and thoughtfully made.
Overall, the food was fantastic and everything we’ve been waiting for after Nikki P’s closed. Even my tiny “wish it had” notes are just personal preferences — nothing that takes away from the experience we had. We can’t wait to come back!
The Buffalo Chicken Pizza was packed with flavor—perfectly seasoned chicken, just the right amount of heat, and a creamy balance that made every bite better than the last.
The Sausage & Mushroom Pizza was everything my mom loves: fresh mushrooms that actually taste earthy and vibrant, paired with sweet sausage that adds the perfect savory touch. It’s one of those combinations that’s simple but done so well you can’t stop talking about it.
We also tried a sub, and the bread alone deserves its own shoutout—chewy in the center, crunchy on the outside, and absolutely addictive. You can tell they care about every detail.
Overall, this place deserves all the praise. Great food, great quality, and definitely a new favorite spot for us. We will be back.
Reminds me of New Haven pizza mixed with NYC style. Sauce was great as well. Definitely is now our new Friday pizza spot. Really lucky they opened and we have a local spot again!
I tried 2 slices, reheated. One broccoli with ricotta and the other a sausage slice. For me, their pizza was below average. Better luck next time.
I came back a few days later, not because I’m a glutton for punishment, but because I don’t believe I should judge an establishment after just one try. This time I tried their Dagwood sandwich (Turkey, salami, ham, roast beef, hot peppers, roasted red peppers, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion). For Millennials and Gen Z-ers, a Dagwood sandwich was made famous in the comic strip, Blondie. It was a towering monstrosity of a sandwich with everything but the kitchen sink stuffed into it. While Sally D’s Dagwood might not have been towering, it certainly wasn’t a monstrosity. It was pretty good; it got me a bit confused with all the meats but I couldn’t finish it in one go. That’s saying something. It’s a big sandwich. If this is an indication of how things will be at Sally D’s, I think they’ll be around a while.
