The staff were great and happy.
The burger was bigger than I expected. Very tasty. The chicken burger was also really good.
Fries were ok. And the chilli cheese fries were a little disappointing. Fries with a slice of cheese on top and 3 chilli slices. (That needs work).
I’ll be back for sure.
What really makes the experience is the interior – it’s super cool. I love themed restaurants like this and honestly wish we had more of them in Denmark.
This place knows how to make an impression. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you’ve stepped into a retro diner – not in a cheesy way, but in a cozy, well-thought-out, and welcoming vibe.
We tried a bit of everything:
Massive burgers – I had the double-patty beast with bacon and cheese, and it was insane. Juicy, rich, and full of flavor. The kind of burger you need both hands (and a good appetite) to handle.
Sweet potato and regular fries were both crisp and well-salted, served in old-school diner cones – nice touch.
Fried snacks like onion rings and chicken bites were crunchy and comforting – a great starter to share.
Milkshakes are a must here – thick, creamy, and served with extra in the metal shaker. The peanut one was a personal favorite.
And we couldn’t skip dessert: a tall, layered caramel sundae with whipped cream and wafer rolls. Total sugar bomb, in a good way.
Service was a bit slow at times – it took a while to get attention now and then – but the staff was friendly when they did come around. That’s the only reason it’s not a full 5-star experience. Still, the overall vibe and food quality make up for it.
Prices are on the higher side (200+ DKK for a full meal), but honestly, the portion sizes are huge and the quality is high, so it feels fair.
If you’re into American-style comfort food, Sallie’s is absolutely worth the trip. Just come hungry.
Food is ok and fish & chips, fish a bit dry; BBQ ribs taste can be a bit stronger
BUT, the portion is HUGE and makes you feel you are in USA
Drinks range is narrow and would be good cover more.
Staffs are ok but a bit pushy so would be better a bit relax they can be.
Price ok and recommend you come over if you wish to see cute place
Oh and their homemade lemonade was soooo good.
The staff were friendly, so sweet and made sure we had everything we needed and more.
I will definitely be going back (but now I know to order just a main )
My husband quite enjoyed the bourbon that is made in Denmark just for Sallie’s! Definitely worth a trying a shot..or 2
The place of the first ever cheeseburger in Denmark.
Looking at staying at the Motel on our next trip.
Highly recommended to anyone that visits the area or Copenhagen.
Worth the trip to it.
That you to all the staff for a lovely time.
It is a bit out of the city just like the roadside restaurants in the US.
I can highly recommend their Sallie classic draft beer. It goes very well with the burger and chips.
The whole space is VERY clean including the toiletts too. The staff are friendly, quick and helpful and as a plus point, their outfitt matches with the all american style.
It was a very pleasent surprise all in all and it was definitely not the last time for me to eat out here.
