This is a Kerala restaurant and they specialize in Kerala cuisine. I tried their dinner menu and lunch buffet. Food is delicious, the portions are large and well worth the price. For the dinner menu, we tried their goat and shrimp biryani. I felt that the goat biryani tasted better. Fish curry is delicious and also the chicken 65. Their naan bread is delicious. The breads are soft, fluffy and buttery.
For the lunch buffet, they serve the main dishes such as the chicken biryani, chicken tandoori, soups, pakoras, some curries, noodles and desserts. Need to come early for buffet if you want to try most of the items as they finish fast.
This restaurant is very clean and the service is excellent. Both staffs and owners are friendly and courteous. Will be sure to visit this restaurant soon.

I had an awesome experience going to Salkara. Having coming from a town with no South Indian cuisine, Salkara completely exceeded all my expectations. Amazing food with great customer service. Hats off to Joel and Jose, our servers who was excellent and always checking in. Buffet has a wide variety of food. Chicken 65 personally was my favourite.

Honestly, the interior of this restaurant is absolutely stunning—warm, inviting, and beautifully designed. The food is equally impressive. I ordered the lunch special for just $8.99, which included butter chicken, white rice, and naan bread. Every bite was rich, flavorful, and authentic. Having lived in Mumbai for nine months, I can confidently say this place rivals some of the best Indian restaurants in India. To top it off, the restaurant is spotless, adding to an overall outstanding dining experience.

Pretty solid restaurant for the area overall 5 stars for the experience and professionalism of the staff. Everyone was friendly and they don’t have a tip option so there’s no pressure to leave one which is rare nowadays because I didn’t have cash and wanted to leave one.
The food is a 4 star , not bad but not better than other Indian food I’ve eaten in the past. The butter chicken texture was a bit tough and the sauce was a bit sweeter than what I’m used too and the naan bread didn’t have much garlic flavor.
The tandoori chicken was really good , me and my son enjoyed it a lot.
Overall I’ll definitely be back for the lunch special.

I came for the weekend buffet and it was delicious. There were a variety of dishes to choose from and everything I tried was flavourful and fresh (my favourite was the tandoori chicken). The service was very friendly and welcoming, thank you to Joel and Jose for serving my family :)- I highly recommend

A great place to go if you have been interested in Indian food but didn’t know what to order. Though great for first timers it’s also a great place to return to and keep going to. The buffet is decent and offers a numbers of choices. Try them all on your first time. Take a chance! Buffet comes with naan and a drink. $23.99 on weekends. You can also do single orders and not do the buffet. I’d recommend doing the buffet, at least once. Well worth it!

I visited this restaurant on a Sunday for lunch with my fiancée. We ordered the chicken biryani and butter chicken lunch specials, both priced at $7.99, along with a masala dosa. I learned that they’ve temporarily stopped offering the lunch buffet until customer demand increases, which shows they care about maintaining the quality of food they serve. The service was attentive and friendly, and the food was cooked perfectly. The masala dosa was huge and came with three delicious sauces. I’m already looking forward to coming back for dinner to try more dishes and sample their Indian beers and liquor. The portion sizes are generous for the price, and considering the tasty food and convenient location near Elmhurst, this will likely become my go-to Indian restaurant. We’ve tried other local Indian spots like Maharaj, Desi, and Bowl Biryani, but this one stands out for its quality and value.
