One of the best restaurants in Chepstow!
We had a lunch combo and one main on Sat. It was quite impressive that the portion was more than I expected, even it was just a lunch combo just £11.99.
Very friendly and helpful staff. We were very lucky that the staff gave us a gift voucher, definitely must come back again.

This rather unassuming restaurant turned out to be terrific. I loved the food and wanted to go back the next day, but couldn’t (closed on Tuesdays). The Chicken Trio was an amazing starter – full of flavour, tender, juicy and appealing to the eye. My angamali pork varattiyahu – a speciality from Kerala, was one of the best curries I’ve ever eaten. The place looks informal, the service is quietly friendly and efficient, and the value is excellent.

Beautiful food! It’s a delight to try so many dishes, each tasting unique and delicious. The staff are friendly and efficient and looked after us really well, too. Wish we lived a little closer so we could enjoy this as a take-away. Worth every penny and a visit or three

Unfortunately have to give 1 star, if I could give 0 I would. Food was really nice but disappointingly I was given a drink FULL OF MOULD. The waitress I pointed it out to was very apologetic and offered to give me another drink but I declined. There was no manager who came to apologise, we were given 10% off our total food bill and a £20 voucher that they had been handing out to customers over Christmas anyway. We took the discount and left the voucher as we won’t be returning. This is so disappointing as the food really was lovely but the lack of accountability was alarming. The photo attached shows what was wiped off the rim of the glass, but doesn’t do justice to what was inside the glass.

I’ve been to Salkaara a few times. I’m not usually a fan of this type of food (masalas, etc.), but this restaurant is different from other Indian places I’ve tried in the UK.
The food simply tastes better, and it doesn’t have the feel of just another typical Indian restaurant.
It’s definitely worth trying. Expect to spend around £20 per person.
Be aware: if you order spicy food, it is genuinely spicy.

Been having the same curry for 30+ years and there are subtle differences between them. This one actually made me feel sick. £17 for a mixed grill and most of it were chips. The seekh kebab was awful and I have had hundreds of them. £75 for four curries and rice with very small nans. Also the guy that delivered rang the bell (which doesn’t work) but didn’t knock, just drove off. If you like curry, go to Sitar and Banana leaf. It’s better. Don’t think I have ever thrown left over curry away before (I’m 53). Most of this went into the recycling.

We had an absolutely wonderful meal here last night. The food was out of this world and service was exceptional. Would give it more than 5 stars if we could. Was the best Indian food we have ever had and we can’t wait to return. The lamb shank curry was incredible and cooked to perfection!

Had a lovely meal here. Food was delicious even if the lamb was slightly small for its price but regardless if was delicious and very filling. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, thank you ☺️

The food was delicious. Cooked with care and the flavours were excellent. Even the desserts were excellent. Nice to have another authentic restaurant in Chepstow. The Cobra beer on draught was ice cold. The service was excellent and they were very accommodating.
They do take away as well, which we will try in future.

Absolutely stunning food, ambience and an attentive manager.
Honestly, we wished we went here sooner to experience the culture and friendly service.
Thank you Noble and team
