I came here specifically for the ‘Napoletana’ pizza mentioned on the menu, but what I received was a huge disappointment. Calling this Neapolitan is a joke and has nothing to do with Neapolitan style.
It’s frustrating when a place uses traditional Italian naming while serving subpar quality. If you re looking for real pizza napoletana, stay away. This is just basic pizza under a fancy, misleading name. Super disappointing.

Delizioso! Ottimo!!! Perfect caesar salad and true Italian pizza! The best Caesar salad in Colorado! salad dressed lightly with real fresh homemade caesar dressing and topped with a white anchovy and shaved parm! Topped with fresh rosemary garlic toast.
The atomic pizza was fantastic, just like Italian pizza! super thin crunchy crust, hint of peppers in tomato sauce, lovely italian sausage…All the flavors in the pizza were perfectly balanced and delicious! You could taste every single ingredient in the pizza, perfecto!
This is a cute little bistro style restaurant where everything is delicious and fresh homemade. You can enjoy dining inside or on the quaint patio hidden by little trees.

First off, when you walk into an establishment, and you see the person who’s going to be making your food and she has a scowl on her face, can’t simply acknowledge you or fails to smile, I recommend turning around and walking out. And that’s what we should have done today. While the person who we ordered our to go pizza with was very nice, the cook wasn’t and the pizza she made was horrible! It was burnt in spots, flatter than paper, had very little to no toppings in most spots and was probably the hardest piece of cardboard I’ve ever been handed. I will be disputing the charge for this “pizza” and I won’t step foot in this place again. There are many other places that know how to make a $25 pizza edible.

I had the Pontiff Pizza and a Caesar salad. Overall I was not very impressed and expected a little bit more. The pizza and salad both were bland and flat.. not too much flavor, though the crust was good. Also felt the service was subpar – even though it wasn’t very busy it was difficult to get attention to order more drinks or get the check. I was not very impressed by Proto’s.

Won’t Be Back
The biggest reason we won’t be back is the 4% “Staff Benefits Charge” that was quietly added on to the bill before sales tax which is 9.055% in Lafayette. Food and drinks amounted to $64.75. We were billed $73.44 which included the $2.59 “Staff Benefits Charge”. If my math is right you’re effectively being charged over 13% tax and part of that is for a product or service you don’t receive. That’s not right.
The pizza is a very thin crust which I don’t particularly prefer. Toppings were a little sparse. Salad was good. Beer selection is quite limited. The Chianti my wife had was only $8.00 a glass but the serving portion was somewhat small. Desert was good. Indoor seating is real tight. Ashley, our server / bartender, did a great job which is much appreciated.

Very rude customer service by Aiden and staff. My order was 3 large pizza were I was picking up to go and paid for the 3 large pizza when I asked for more sets of parma cheese and olive oil chef was ready to do give me but Aiden denied to give extra he just provided 1 parma cheese , 1 olive oil for each pizza even they were 3 large pizza. Very bad customer service for sure.
