The restaurant itself was spacious and very clean, which we appreciated. Service was good and welcoming. As for the food, it was okay, but not something we particularly enjoyed compared to other Mexican restaurants we’ve tried. The flavors were mild and didn’t stand out as much as we expected. Overall, it’s a nice, clean spot with plenty of space, but the food could use a bit more flavor to make it memorable.

As a self described Mexican food junkie I have to give this place 5 stars. Homemade taco shells and chips, lightly seasoned beef, great portion sizes. I was thrilled and the service was on point. My friend had chicken fajitas and enjoyed them. The portions are so plentiful you cannot finish everything. And besides greeting you with fresh homemade chips and salsa you also have their very own bean dip. It was so addictive I wanted more. My taco was so good I did not even need salsa on it. It was actually that good. Love the hidden gem quality of the place. Check it out. So much better than some of the newer places I tried. See pictures.

I absolutely love their food – it’s the best part about it. I read some of the reviews & I am guessing a lot of people haven’t gotten to eat in true Mexico (outside of some resort). I see a lot of ‘not as Spicy or flavor filled’ as other places which means those places are American adjusted Mexican food – cover it with “Heat” & that’s all you need. Love Salina’s!

Quickly becoming one of my favorite Mexican restaurants! They have new chips that are super light and crisp. They slightly tweaked their salsa too and it is awesome. Great chicken quesadillas – juicy shredded chicken. Steak Fajitas are good quality meat without alot of fat. Nachos are my favorite.. lots of colby and chedder cheese. Their fried icecream was perfect. The waitress is fabulous and always remembers us. Full bar. Inside and outside seating. Tvs for the sports fans. Generous portions and good prices. Casual and family friendly. Traditional Mexican decor but none of the loud Mexican music. Will definitely go back!

A family Mexican restaurant that’s comfy, colorful and exceptionally clean. The menu lists the standard offerings, and the food is flavorful with the right blend of spices (without being too hot). Prices are good, as is the service. Huge parking lot, and a very nice covered front patio that must be fantastic during the summer.

Amazing food. Our server behind the bar was amazing as well and even had the cook turn his music back on as it was songs that she loved. We will for sure be back!!!! Thank you!!!

BEST Tasting Mexican food in the St. Louis area. I don’t eat meat and they were able to accommodate and make a vegetable medley. The vegetables melt in your mouth, everything from the chips to the beans were excellent. The salsa tasted like a tasty lasagna which was AMAZING. The customer service was above and beyond.

I’ve been here several times over the last few decades. It’s literally in my neighborhood. I wish I could say it’s great, but it’s genuinely some of the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. Bland food that usually tastes like it’s been sitting around for a while after cooking, like it’s a bit dried out.
Another reviewer said Taco Bell is better Mexican food, and they’re right believe it or not. At least it has a flavor.
I’m shocked that this restaurant has been in business for so long. It’s been there since at least the mid 90’s and I have no idea how when the food is so bland and basic.

A friend and I decided to try anew Mexican Restaurant last night and it was terrific. From the very beginning the chips came with salsa and a refried bean dip. The bean dip was delicious. I had the Pollo Feliz which was excellent as well. The seasoning was some of the best I have had recently. It was flavorful but didn’t over power the vegies. It’s a 30 minute drive from my house but I am probably going to have to have another dinner out and try some of their other plates. The portions were generous and the prices were inline with just about every other restaurant these days.
