Very good thin crust pizza; not cracker thin, but substantial with generous amounts of cheese. Normal bake was perfect. My only complaint is that they need to cut their pieces smaller.

A cool restaurant by the river in St Charles.
Classic Italian dishes. Come with your appetite. Really large servings. Took 2 containers home. The food was absolutely delicious. I recommend getting a table facing the river. Beautiful

Almost 15-20 years since eating here last. The atmosphere and service was very good but the food was lacking in the flavor department. We had a party of six and everyone agreed that the food was just a little bland. I think the food was just lacking seasonings.

We came to celebrate two birthdays and enjoy dinner. Appetizers of antipasto and an arugula flatbread were both fantastic. We each had something completely different for our entrees, and we all enjoyed them. Our orders consisted of pizza, steak medallions, lasagna, and chicken risotto. All phenomenal in their own way. Portions were large and food came out hot. The view and ambiance were laid back and impressive at the same time. We were well taken care of by our server. A young lady with long blond hair, sorry her name escapes me, and also was checked on by another employee. They also served a birthday dessert and helped sing to celebrate. It was a delicious dinner and service was on point.

Our first visit to St. Charles in decades, and my how it has changed. Quite the happening place. And Salerno’s on the Fox topped it off. Can’t say enough about the great food and service . We ate and stayed on the patio for some time and never felt rushed. Our server Brandon was very attentive and helpful with recommendations and service. The river view was gorgeous as the sun set and lights came on downtown. We’ll be back!

My husband and I have been married for 42 years. When we were dating we went to Salerno’s and always loved it, to this day the food is just undescribable. They have the best sauce for their pasta, and their pizzas are to die for. I highly recommend it We go regularly with a couple of our friends and we can’t wait to go this next week.
We had my husband’s birthday last year at Salerno’s and had our family there and close friends there and everything was just perfect. The food was perfect the price was doable and everything about it was just wonderful I can’t say enough about the wonderful service and food at Salerno’s on the Fox.

Quite literally THE BEST meal my father and I have had in years. We stopped here on a whim on the way home, and were so glad we did. We’ve driven by for years, but will never make that mistake again.
Brandon was our server and was just incredible. Friendly, humorous, attentive…just all around great!
Now the food – oh my gosh the food ❤️ Be prepared to have leftovers because the portions are generous. We ordered the baked clams as our appetizer and they were so delicious. You don’t get little piece of clam – you get a legit piece of clam with the tasty stuffing.
Dad ordered veal Parmesan and it came with a choice of soup or salad. He opted for the pasta fagiole and said it was just wonderful! His entree came with two large pieces of veal. He couldn’t stop saying how amazing the marinara sauce tasted.
I ordered the pasta ala casa (pictures included). My meal also came with a choice of soup or salad. I opted for salad with garlic dressing. The croutons were house made, and the dressing was awesome. And my entree was just perfection! The pasta was hand made, the chicken was correctly seasoned, and the sauce was to die for.
All in all if you’re looking for an amazing meal with generous portions, look no more. We can’t wait to come back!

First time and definitely not going to be my last. Family Friendly. Kid Friendly. I can even see this place as a Girls Night Out Friendly. What a charming place along the Fox River. Everything was amazing. It felt like I went over to my cool Grandma’s house and she did a lot of great cooking. Overall a warm experience.

The only negative was the very very small pour of the white wine. $10 for what you see in the picture. That was a disappointment.

Absolutely delicious food, great service, and beautiful views right on the fox river. The Mediterranean swai (a special) and salmon Cesar salad are both delicious! The salmon was done to perfection with lots of flavor!The view was so beautiful. The bread with oil, which comes with all the food was great too! The owner came around and asked us how our food was which was really nice! I will definitely be back. A gem in St. Charles.
